Well, this has turned out to be a rather eventful Sunday, and indeed, no threads like "OT: Found A Four-Year Old Spiral-Cut Ham In My Basement Freezer" yet today.

So we have CB's popping up for Eamonn Dennis, Blake Corum, Kalel Millings, Brenden Rice, Reece Atteberry, AJ Henning and Mitchell Melton. With the other three so far, that would make 10, right?

It’s exciting to get all these recruits but unless OSU sucks this year and has a handful of decommits, we won’t finish ahead of them. We get Morant, the #10 safety, they will get Ransom, the #4 safety. We get Henning, a top 100 wr and they have three wr’s (possibly 4) ranked ahead of him. Just know the staff are landing commitments from guys they want and that should be good enough.

UM out-recruited OSU last year, but they suffered a bit with the ZS/Urban ordeal.  But, Day et. al have been having a good offseason of recruiting.  I think UM's recruiting will improve if Gattis can improve the offense and start beating OSU on occasion and win a conference championship and far a bit better in bowls.  But, the reality is OSU is likely to out recruit UM based on the fact they have more in state talent, more recent success, and have a better national brand at the moment.  But, UM doesn't need to out recruit OSU IMO.  They just need to consistently land top 10 classes and prevent too much attrition.  This means they still have some work to do this year, but a strong season could really help.

OSU had a tiny class in ‘19 by design. 17 players whereas we took 26. If winning is more bodies, we out recruited them  Unfortunately it only means they had limited space on an already very talented roster

In the 24/7 composite they were #3 behind Bama and Georgia for the highest per player rankings. They didn’t exactly fall off the face of the earth and Day closed out by snatching Harrison back from our grasps

They fell to 14 in the rankings... Clemson was 16th in 2017..with a class under 20 players.

I've had this conversation numerous times with OSU fans and I think it's a misrepresentation of the data.  Yes if you compare the average of their 17 guys to our 26, theirs is better.  But, that's not an equal comparison.  You must compare the same number of guys in each class.  If you compare their 17 to our top 17 our average is better.  Their recruiting average is .9186 and the top 17 of UM's is .9253.

So, you have to make an apples to apples comparison.  Anytime you compare averages of a larger class to a smaller class the smaller class will have the higher average and the larger class will have more total points.  To get a true comparison of you have to compare the same number of guys in each class which still gives UM the advantage.  So IMO UM's class was better in both breadth and quality.
