Coaching snowflakes?

No thread?

My take. Excellent game plan designed to attack Sparty weaknesses. To anyone who ever thought Harbaugh was “checked out”, have you seen him lately? He enjoyed this one.

I didn't like slow start and the weird playcalling on the final drive of the first half. After that, they rolled pretty well. Defensive coaching was very good all the way.

Everyone looked great. Gattis’ scheme with a little Harbaugh and Warinner mixed in is great.

I wish the o install went one week faster, but that’s spilled milk.

They had a great game plan to exploit MSU’s weakness. Haskins/Charbonnet/Wilson only combined for 23 carries. This was the type of performance I was hoping for when Gattis was hired. I loved seeing Bell and DPJ getting the ball with room to make plays. And I love that Harbaugh never let up. Well done.

The emergence of Michigan's running game opens it up every week. Obviously MSU is noted for having a strong front 7--so they are geared to stop the run.

Had UM's running game not developed over the course of the last month--the game would have had a different feel altogether. But when teams know they MUST respect your running game and then you have five receivers (at least) who can beat you--holy hell.

Oh what could have been. Our usual refrain, though.

Harbaugh seemed engaged and energized really glad ro see it.

Also looked like Gattis has retooled his scheme to fit our strengths which seems to be building each game.

RichRod and Hoke went 46-42 from 2008-14.

Jim is now 46-16.  He could lose 25 consecutive games and still have a better record than those guys.

Obviously, those two aren't the measuring stick for the program, but still.

Let’s separate the 2. RR was heads and shoulders above Hoke. RR was him vs the university, no one had his back. He came in after Carr put the screw job to us. Don’t get me wrong, I think Harbaugh is a good coach, but if you can’t beat osu then it’s time to try something else. So hopefully he can get it done this year.

Because so many teams are beating OSU these days?  They've lost one game in two years, and like eight in the last eight years.

I certainly hope we can beat OSU, but the idea that Harbaugh should be coaching for his job in two weeks is insane.  We have a really good coach right now.  It's unfortunate that OSU is a top-3 program at the moment with unreal talent.

Why is that? They have had top notch coaching. We have not. We have lived in the past for far too many years. So what you are saying is let Harbaugh be our version of their Cooper? That is what it sounds like you are saying. I say that is unacceptable.

Glad you could be original with the twist in my user name.

edit: I fully support our coaches just an FYI

I'm with you, Ohio.

Even Gus was echoing what those who are saying to you. Of course, he doesn't have a PhD and he's not a mature Michigan graduate, so he is not reducing himself to calling you infantile names. But nevertheless.

It's "Oh my we'll never beat the Buckeyes, so let's be happy and try to go to the Outback Bowl again"

EVERY poster here has made fun of John Cooper for not being able to beat Michigan. They concentrated on that and now we put our tails between our legs and say, "Well, they're just too good" Harbaugh, said EVERY poster here, would have us whomping them soon enough (at least half the time, which would be PERFECT)

And to some of the people arguing with you--wow--it is as if UM fans have conceded to Ohio State.

I guess it's not even a rivalry anymore, then.

While getting punked by Ohio State doesn't always ruin a good season--the fact that many here seem to be saying we might as well not even play them means UM is no longer a blue blood, no longer someone to be considered elite--just a very nice program that will have good seasons (10-3 is not bad at all) and go to a nice bowl game in Florida every year.

Equivocation is  a hell of a drug. We might as well wish the best for OSU once they thrash Michigan again and hope they win the NC for the Big Ten!

Did you guys see how Hudson went straight to Partidge and hugged him after the blocked punt? I think that’s a sign that the players really like him and are really motivated by him. He was a great hire and putting him on as special teams coach has really worked out well.

Glad it’s not up so people can bitch. People were posting in the game thread 4 minutes in to the game that everyone should be fired and Patterson was the worst QB ever. Fuck it, leave it down.

Loved the  rpo on 3rd down up 37-10.  We're not gonna run it up the gut to bleed the clock.  We're going to run Shea to the outside so when the dbs crash he can throw it to a wide open receiver and put another td on the scoreboard.
