Coach Harbaugh interview with Tim Kawakami (SIAP)

Submitted by Ahriman on

Just saw this interview with Coach Harbaugh had with Tim Kawakami. For obvious reasons, 49ers fans miss him a lot and we're lucky to have him. He talked about how much the 3 losses hurt and are motivating him and the team, that his newborn son is doing better, and talked about Colin Kaepernick's protest.

Petey has a job to do? Then what do you call Harbaugh's task of molding young men? Sorry Petey but the world keeps on turning without you. And I'm pretty sure the Pete Finebaum show is at your expense whether Coach knew what your real name was or trolled you. Go back to winning all those games you coached.

so the only people that have a right to an opinion are dick radio hosts and coaches that have won national championships?  that is leaving out a helluva lot of people. you notice harbaugh never speaks first. he would  be a big time pussy if he never stood up for his team and himself.

He thought it was unlikely that Harbaugh would come here (which, frankly, it seemed unlikely to all but the truest of true believers, too) and was vocal about it on Twitter. That got him reams of shit from our fans, some of it obnoxiously racist.

Here's the full podcast if anyone needs something to kill a half hour. Good stuff.

Also, Harbaugh on Pete:

“The annoying part is people who show their true colors and try to impugn your integrity where you’ve done nothing wrong. They want to impugn your integrity. They want to see you fail. They want to take shots at you."

Well, I know what my word of the day is.

Pete is such a tool. What a miserable son of a bitch. I'd pay money for someone to call into his show and and say they are a fan of Jim Harbaugh and then ask him what it's like to have never been laid. That reaction would be priceless.

I wonder if JH is going to preach the "every game is a Championship" mantra again.  Even with a veteran group, I wonder if that caused the team to tighten up some (Iowa).  Curious what the message will be with a younger crew.

And OSU had no business losing to PSU, and Clemson had no business losing to Pitt, and 2013 MSU had no business losing to Notre Dame. It happens when you're facing an above average team on the road.

The 3 best defensive lines we faced were Iowa, OSU, and FSU; its no coincidence we lost all those games. Our offensive line got destroyed. Hopefully that's more indicative of the talent level of the players and not Drevno's coaching, but either way Harbaugh has taken the proper measures to fix that issue.

I don't care about the 49ers (or any NFL team for that matter), but I like 49ers fans since they're the only other fanbase that appreciates Harbaugh's quirkiness. Harbaugh is a guy you either love or hate, and 49ers fans are perhaps the only other fanbase that loves him. I'm surrounded by 49ers fans here in the SF Bay Area, and I've had many of them tell me that they knew very little about Harbaugh before the 49ers hired him but that they started following Michigan when Harbaugh left just because they grew to love they way he coached.

Braden may get drafted and the rest I doubt. I truly hope we are recruiting better than what we have seen the last five years except glasgow a walk on. I realize Harbaugh knows this and is trying to improve the line play. Mr. Bell is spot on. We had the #1 defense in the country. We had a championship caliber team except O-line play period. If you want to know how a team with the #1 defense loses three games by a total of five points.......mediocre to poor o-line play. If Michigan had an above average o-line Michigan would probably have won it all and that is a shame. Yes the rest of the team was that good.

It's articles like this that make me really hate the way the mainstream espn and Fox talking heads portray Jim.  Jim doesn't cheat, he is a good dad, loves his family, has respect for everyone, works his ass off.  Just because he does a few quirky things, he gets this crazy man rep, that I don't believe is warranted at all.  I am grateful that we have a coach and a great guy like Jim to represent our wonderful university.
