Yeah, if he planned on transferring to someone vaguely in the college football playoff discussion. There are plenty of places where he could win a job. He had a share of one here until he showed he couldn't handle pass protection this season.

He's not dead in the water here, if he can learn how to participate in pass protection he can get himself right back in the mix.

Copying from other thread:

Any timeline on the coaching changes? Presuming at least a couple of the assistants move on.

Ghostofgermainegonzales said if Brown leaves "DJD" is thought by many inside the program to be the next DC - any idea on the veracity of that? If that's DJ Durkin that seems like an absolute terrible move given what happened at Maryland and what type of person he was revealed to be.

Small for TE but not for Defensive Line?

He’s between 6-2 and 6-3 and 245 pounds Gattis system doesn’t incorporate   Big inline blockers at that position see Alabama and Irv Smith Jr who has essentially the same measurable as BVS.  Watch his tape from HS he can catch away from the body and high point.
I get the thought of moving him to defense especially with Anthony transferring but  I’ve said it before sometimes Don Browns personnel decisions are enigmatic.  I think he’ll be good as a Move TE he was miscast as a RB.

Really liked his potential and hoped he would be able to work his way out of the doghouse by seasons end.  I imagine it was due to pass protection, but then again Haskins started the season horrible at pass protection and he got back on the field.

Anyone know why I just read an article that had the headline - Michigan’s Ambry Thomas not making future decisions until after Citrus?  Who in the hell is telling him that he is remotely ready for the NFL?  What is going on - he’s not even a good CB in the B10.  Same with Uche - he’s just now an above average rush end, but against the run and in general he’s an average B10 guy.  What is going on with these kids?  DB’s defensive scheme covers up so many warts that the players even think they are better than what they are.  Thomas is not close to ready for the league - wow.

I like Turner as a player, but he needs to prove to the coaches he can have better ball security. I hope he heals up and is able to contribute next year. But, if Corum is as good as advertised, I don't see both Haskins and Turner both sticking around. If Corum is 3rd or higher on the depth chart, whomever is 4th is gone.

He has the most diverse skillset of any back on the roster. Needs to hold onto the ball and improve his blocking and he's easily 1B next to Charbonnet.

But those are two BIG facets to his position. But his top end speed with the power and toughness make him the most dynamic back on the roster. Even right now.
