Nice to see Webber finally feeling like he can be back around the program.

Seriously, the students should petition Santa for this.  If half the stuff they say about him is true, he would understand.  Fab Five would have been totally legit compliance wise under today's NIL structure.  That's all they wanted was their piece of the pie.

My understanding is that he was informally invited back by Beilein the weekend that Harbaugh hosted him as an honorary captain for the 2018 Penn State game, but that Webber didn't feel ready at that time. He may also have felt slighted by Beilein due to the fact that it was Harbaugh and not Beilein who took the initiative to publicly reach out to Webber and invite him back (I think the way that came together is that Harbaugh unexpectedly called into a radio show that Webber was interviewing with and extended the invitation on-air, which Webber appreciated and accepted on the spot).

But with Howard now in charge, Webber seems to have dropped any lingering reluctance or resentment he may have held toward the basketball program.

Being a teenager during this era made it even more awesome as a fan. They were fun and exciting and cool. I was 13 in the Philippines when they won the 89 national title and that was fun and exciting, but the Fab 5 was flat out cool and it really resonated with my teen self.
