Charles Woodson Events Thu/Fri in A2 & Livonia
Charles Woodson is making three appearances this week, two in Ann Arbor and one in Livonia to promote his TwentyFour Wines. All three events look like great opportunities to meet Woodson and obtain photos and signatures.
The first event is a fundraiser for the Charles Woodson Foundation at Melange Bistro (314 S. Main St) Thursday evening. Woodson will present his wines at the dinner and...
...will oversee the five-course dinner, which includes a reception where [he] will be available for autographs and photos. The reception starts at 6 p.m. and the dinner begins at 7 p.m. Cost is $125 and is a fundraiser for the Charles Woodson Foundation. For information, call 734-222-0202 or e-mail [email protected].On Friday at 5 pm, Woodson will conduct a wine bottle signing event at The Fine Wine Source in Livonia (16721 Middlebelt Rd). Then, on Friday at 7 pm, Woodson will appear at The Chop House (322 S. Main St) for a Boutique Wine Tasting.
Join us for a casual tasting of a table full of outstanding small production, high quality wines. As always, Chef Jeff Bliven will amaze with exceptional hors D’oeuvres. Then taste and learn about very high quality wines from small, artisan producers. The tasting ends with a meet ‘n’ taste with of Ann Arbor’s hometown heroes, the NFL’s defensive player of the year, Charles Woodson of the Green Bay Packers. Charles is now the proprietor of the ultra high end Cabernet Sauvignon, Twenty Four by Charles Woodson. Portions of Twenty Four’s proceeds benefit Mott’s Children’s Hospital here in Ann Arbor. $25/person all inclusive if reserved in advance. $30/person the day of the event. Call (888)456-3463 for reservations. If you're in the area, enjoy good food and wine, and want an opportunity to meet Woodson, here are a few chances. Bring your checkbook. These wines are not inexpensive.

That would be a lot fun. However, I already hung out with Woodson at the spring game. His head was HUGE.

I have tried the 2007 Twenty Fours Cabernet Franc - it is very good, if not a bit pricey: and the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. I am going to try to make the Chop House Friday night. Sounds like an interesting time.
Thanks for the tip.
I'm not even familiar with The Fine Wine Source, and I've lived in Livonia most of my life.
Then again, I'm not much of a wine guy.
I may have to become a fan of twentyfour.
Also from Livonia most of my life (minus the 4 years in aa) but then again who pays attention to Middlebelt for anything
No love for the east side?
Fine Wine Source is an easy to place to miss. I should warn you though, becoming a fan of twentyfour wines is an expensive proposition at an outrageous $150/bottle.
