CFP Prediction Thread

The committee last week stuck pretty closely to ESPN's Strength of Record metric, as they often do.

The big deviation was TCU being 7th instead of 3rd.  My guess is they weren't buying TCU's success because they've been lucky enough to play a lot of teams backup QBs.

So my prediction for tonight (NOTE: this is not what I think it should be, just what I think it will be based on how this committee ranked teams last week).

1. UGA

2. OSU

3. Tennessee

4. Michigan

5. TCU

6. Oregon

7. LSU

8. USC

9. UCLA

10. Bama

The big wildcard here is Tennessee which is #2 in SoR.  The question is how much will the committee ding them for losing on the road at the #1 team, which sounds forgivable, but it wasn't all that close (damn that late garbage time TD to make it look more respectable).

They still have arguably two of the best wins of the entire season with a 27 point demolition of LSU and a win over Bama.  So I think the committee will keep them ahead of Michigan but not ahead of OSU which got a boost from ND.

Below TCU, it should line up mostly with the AP poll I would think.

After last week, I wouldn't be shocked to see

1. Georgia

2. Ohio State

3. Tennessee

4. TCU

5. Michigan

6. Clemson

It should be

1. Georgia

2. Ohio State/Michigan

3. Ohio State/Michigan

4. TCU

5. Tennessee

6. Oregon

Just switched to ESPN. JFC there’s an hour of this bullshit? Should take 5 minutes. I mean when I was a kid the entire national news only took 15.

Reece Davis talking about Ohio St and Michigan playing bottom feeders in the big ten and talked about weather at NW and Michigan “pulling away late”. He starts the segment with Georgia and then LSU. Openly talks about TCU positively. Bias against Bigten on ESPN? Who would’ve thunk it, lol.
