CFN at it again - ND in Top 25!
http://cfn.scout.com/2/1003865.html
Wow! According to CFN it looks like UM and MSU have to be #1 and #2 by week six considering they have the 1-2 Fighting Irish in their Top 25.
Here is my best guess for CFN's final Top 25:
1) 13-0 Michigan
2) 12-1 MSU
3) 11-2 Notre Dame
15) 10-3 Purdue
Did Lou Holtz write this week's CFN Top 25?

If that was the case they would be #1.

Haha, beat me to the punch.

that one was a hanging breaking ball.

No he didn't, because ND isn't number one and Kent State isn't making an appearance in the top 25 as well.

They were close to being in the top 10? Really?

And losing to two middle of the pack Big 10 teams does not make you one of the top 25 teams. Even if they're 3-0, they shouldn't be near the top 10 as suggested by CFN. I wonder why 3-0 UM or 3-0 MSU are not near the top 10.
I see why their poll doesn't determine the BCS matchups.

"Why The Ranking Should Be Higher: The Irish is painfully close to being 3-0 and warranting a spot just outside the top 10. "
No wonder ND fans are always so delusional.

That thinking makes merely delusional appear remarkably lucid.

ND was looking at a tough schedule in the first half of the season. The second half will get them some wins.
The excuses are flowing like the Nile on some ND boards now. In the second half of the season when they win 3,4,5, games in a row they will return to glory and Kelly will be the best coach of all time.

The Irish is painfully close to being 3-0...
...but they aren't. They're 1-2!!
Reminds me of those commercials when the receiver dives, catches the ball at the 1, the announcer calls, "Close Enough!!!" and the ref raises his hands for a touchdown. Hilarious!!

crush ND and reality will settle in to South Bend (and hopefully AA and EL) that ND is just not that great of a football team.
When the season is over, ND could very well be 5-7 with their 5 wins being Purdue, Western Michigan,, Tulsa, Navy and Army. 7-5 is about the best they could hope for with BC and Pitt beings upset wins.

i guess close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, AND college football. I really don't see UGA as a top 25 squad, either. They were run over roughshod by both SCAR (Lattimore sad face) and Arkansas (Mallett sad face). I guess their philosophy is that since Michigan/msu and SCAR/Arkansas are both ranked, ND and UGA should be, too, for losing close games to them?

if my aunt had nuts she's be my uncle...
if they were 3-0 they'd be top 10 wtf is that?
