CliffsNotes Instructions
(1) If you want an order aligned with Michigan’s current battle plan before you attack/defend, go to Michigan Risk Central Command. You'll (usually) get a few options to choose from.
(2) If you insist on doing your own thing, head over to CFB Risk and attack Ohio State in the areas marked on the map at the bottom of this post. Basically, south of the border and around the Carolinas.
Just Like in Real Life, We're Everywhere
One of Michigan's selling points is that its alumni network is huge, and you can find fellow Wolverines everywhere. No matter the country, you're bound to find somebody wearing Michigan gear sooner or later.
This game of Risk has turned out the same way. A lot of the map is blue, and almost every territory that isn't blue has a blue neighbor. You can see from the odds page why this matters. We have won 14 fewer territories than expected over the last two days, while OSU has won 12 territories more than expected.
And yet, we're still winning because we have so, so many territories that are available to us on a given roll. With that many possibilities and by far the most star power, we are well positioned to win despite the Bucknuts' luck.
But we can't let up. The Bucknuts can still win.
We have eyes on just about every grey territory on the map, but we need to maintain our large numbers to ensure victory. Last night, OSU added 90 new players to their team, while we lost a dozen players.
That's a swing of 100 stars in just one day, and it's the only path the Bucknuts have to being repeat champions. Let me say that again....THE ONLY WAY THE BUCKNUTS STEAL VICTORY FROM US IS IF WE DON'T SHOW UP.
So make sure to get your orders and enter them into the map. And if you want to do your own thing, consider looking at the map below for suggestions of areas to hit.

It's never been about aTm, has it? The end game has always been about oSu. Let's pummel them.
I haven't been paying much attention, but at one point aTm was dominating and now they are getting dominated by us. How did that swing take place?
They were living off of region bonuses built when they had little competition (early) and alliances (later). Once we started region-busting, they lost their advantage, and those that were afraid of them before (like OSU) turned on them. Also, we have a lot of players.
The short answer is we broke up their region bonuses that allowed them to consolidate a huge portion of the board. Combine that with some consistently poor RNG luck (see below) and you you go from having the most territories and weighted stars, to just hoping to hold onto College Station and maybe eke out a third place finish.
Basically, they beat up on the cupcakes early, but their coaching sucked and they ended up folding when they hit the real competition in the middle of the season.
I feel like I've seen this movie before, somewhere between 23-45 times.

MVP in Vancouver yesterday! Let's Go!
At some point i'll get another MVP. Have had zero in this season of the despite being a 5* and having played in 38 round turns with a streak of 32.
Maybe on the final night when it matters most.
I've gotten one MVP throughout ALL CFB risk games ever with almost 150 turns.
Brutal. I am at 5 total MVP's with I think 138 round turns overall across all three years. Most of them came in season 1.
But yeah it's frustrating to look at the odds or the draw from the night before and see some 2* who has like 10 total turns across all three years win a territory that you were in.
Do the MVPs do anything particular for your star rank? I’ve racked up 2 in 18 total turns. Lol.
I think it may be because I chose less sexy options so by average my support is more consequential
After playing last year and this, I finally got an mvp, then another, a couple weeks ago, both times defending.

When my daughter was 5 I used to tell her not to yuck someone else’s yum. She got it but then again she was a pretty bright 5 year old.
5 1 is pretty old to be having that discussion. I told my kids not to spend hours in their room playing risk. To each their own. 🤷♂️
4th quarter, blow it wide open. Best chance osu has its they get the Ohio region back from Georgia Tech and finish with a bonus.

I signed up…and have no clue to what I’m doing. I picked attack 3 different times on places that are OSU territories (I think). How many times can you even attack? And, how do you know if you were successful or not?
I think it’s one choice per day, and you can either attack any territory or defend any territory. So if you chose three, I bet only your last choice will count.
They do a nightly “roll” to get the results. If your action was before the roll, you can see your stats. I’m 1-0.
