CC Harbaugh Optimism Day

Submitted by sierragold on

My very first content thread, be nice. Christmas Day Eve and we need some Harbaugh Optimism today. X Mas tomorrow so we all hope Jim has a great day with his family before joining his new family next week as the " U of M" Head Coach. We can cross off 2 days for this coach search Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, still religious in most circles. Rumor still has it that Harbaugh to Michigan is 85% in most circles except for the NFL Bobble Heads although some are beginning to accept the possibilty and doing some backtracking on their prior stance of "No Way Harbaugh will Coach at Michigan". This post is all good things Harbaugh.

Merry Christmas to all of the Mgoblogers your family's & friends, and this is to hoping we all get what is on our "Wish List" for Christmas. Harbaugh! Harbaugh! Harbaugh!  The Team, The Team, The Team.

Tis' The Season to Believe!

Go Blue!

To not be misunderstood. This is a HARBAUGH TO MICHIGAN THREAD. Lots and Lots of OPTIMISM. IT'S HAPPENING! LESS THAN A WEEK AND THE WAIT WILL BE OVER! Could be one great New Years Celebration!

Isn't it a rule on Harbaugh that we aren't allowed to talk about Harbaugh.  I thought that I read Harbaugh somewhere before about Harbaugh.  If I am mistaken about Harbaugh then please forgive me, I will go back to Harbaugh.

This is a way better first post than most or all of the other n00b posts lately. Most of those posts aren't even up anymore which should tell you something.

But good post, hope everyone enjoys the holidays and that we can all enjoy a few days break from this coaching search...although I'll be refreshing my phone all weekend....

My one fear about this is ... the NY Football Giants. What if Coughlin told management he is retiring? They have cash, a history of success, cashe, a QB (sometimes), marque name, glitz of NY -- its like the J.E.T.S. but way better in every way so totally unlike the J.E.T.S. That's the one possible team that I think would have a possible lure to outweigh our situation. And no one mentions them, which scares me even more.

I seriously dont understand this point. Whether Coughlin has 1 year or 100 years left on his K. if he decides to retire now, the job is open. What mgt thought was going to happen next yr is irrelevant. Furthermore, another losing season might change their mind (not that I think Coughlin would be fired if he wanted to come back).

about the NY Giants entering the Harbaugh sweepstakes. Giants HC Coughlin is most likely returning, especially if this current three-game winning trend continues and beating Philly Sunday to wind up 2014 on a positive note, potentailly bodes well heading into next season. In addition, Giants management is more deliberate and conservative when it coms to firing coaches and GMs.

No matter what happens Sunday, no way the Giants want to expose Eli and the O to a third offensive scheme in as many years by firing Coughlin. Further, Eli and OC Ben McAddo get along well and the O-team likes him as well. They're just getting comfortable with his scheme.

As such, prevailing thought around NY is that Coughlin returns. McAddo's groomed to take over as HC after another year as OC under his belt with Coughling riding off into the sunset after the 2015 season.
