Wow. I see that now, but I think that is a poor choice in punctuation. It seemed to me that he was saying "Why is that surprising?" Well worded posts are good for eliminating misunderstandings. I could also be so used to the cynicism that's been running rampant lately. I do not refute the sonofabitch comment, however. That is spot on, but for wholly different reasons.

I am shocked. For random reasons I sort of know his uncle, who is a successful entrepreneur (started Dakota Beef) and one of the most rabid Michigan fans I have ever met. I was sure his brother would be just as much a fan, and steer his kid here. The only reason I had even slight doubt was Tom Beaver's pre-emptive "I'm not really sure we want him" routine several days back.

T. Boone. Their facilites will easily be the best in the country. As an Oklahoma fan (not during March... obviously), I know that Pickens is pumping tons of money into the school to be the next Oklahoma, and beat them, be top echelon etc. Too bad this isn't working, imagine a rich hick farmer from MSU gets lucky, and somehow becoomes a billionaire. He wants to get his prestigious alma mater back to glory so he funds their football program de facto. He will never beat out UM but doggone it he'll try. Too bad Lavey bought into this, but it is still about 9 months until he can sign. Wait it out.

I heard his mother wanted him close to home. *shrugs* I was hoping he was coming here as well. He seemed to be the best LB on the market that we had a legit shot at. Well, will have to salivate and pray for Luc now.

This commitment has caught Texas A&M off guard as well. He has visited College Station 3 times and was scheduled to be in town for the spring game tomorrow. I guess we will know how serious his commitment is based on whether or not he still makes the trip tomorrow. To be fair, he is from North of Dallas so I think that OSU and OU are the closest Big 12 programs to home.

In his interview, Lavey reiterated several times that he's 100% committed to Oklahoma State. He said he's a man of his word and that he's prayed about it and it's the right place for him. He sounds pretty solid. Good luck to him.
