Caleb Lavey to OK ST - Scout

I was hoping for this guy given that childhood picture in the UM locker room and everything...
that is surprising ... why?
Not all news is surprising. I'm not sure the OP ever made it seem like it was.

The person above you meant it like this:
"This development is surprising. Why did Lavey commit to Oklahoma State?"
Wow. I see that now, but I think that is a poor choice in punctuation. It seemed to me that he was saying "Why is that surprising?" Well worded posts are good for eliminating misunderstandings. I could also be so used to the cynicism that's been running rampant lately.
I do not refute the sonofabitch comment, however. That is spot on, but for wholly different reasons.
Your mom is part Terrier.
There is a good chance you will wake up with my balls on your lips. Fair warning.
How is that different than any other Saturday?
This time you won't be asking for it.
National Tea bagging day has come and gone. Maybe next year.

is right...
It is disappointing if not surprising. He had pretty strong ties to UM (dad was equipment manager in his day) and seemed to have lots of interest.
Dude, weird. One trip to Oklahoma State, of all places, and you're sold? Oklahoma I'd get.
they guy can charm the burka off of an Afghani woman in Taliban country.
He wants to play for a MAN ("I'm 40")
Mike Gundy is a man and 40.
I think he's older than that now
o man...I really wanted this kid
creeps me out.
I am shocked. For random reasons I sort of know his uncle, who is a successful entrepreneur (started Dakota Beef) and one of the most rabid Michigan fans I have ever met. I was sure his brother would be just as much a fan, and steer his kid here.
The only reason I had even slight doubt was Tom Beaver's pre-emptive "I'm not really sure we want him" routine several days back.
Excellent pun, yo.
T. Boone. Their facilites will easily be the best in the country. As an Oklahoma fan (not during March... obviously), I know that Pickens is pumping tons of money into the school to be the next Oklahoma, and beat them, be top echelon etc. Too bad this isn't working, imagine a rich hick farmer from MSU gets lucky, and somehow becoomes a billionaire. He wants to get his prestigious alma mater back to glory so he funds their football program de facto. He will never beat out UM but doggone it he'll try. Too bad Lavey bought into this, but it is still about 9 months until he can sign. Wait it out.
son of a...i thought we were in good shape for him
Spybucks, you "really wanted this kid"? Chris Hansen may come into your home with a camera crew for a full on confrontation when you use that kind of language.
*sniff, sniff*
Fishy.
I heard his mother wanted him close to home. *shrugs* I was hoping he was coming here as well. He seemed to be the best LB on the market that we had a legit shot at. Well, will have to salivate and pray for Luc now.

Yeah, well I'm too smart to get caught. I will only set a man date in a public place like a bathroom or strip club or some other establishment where miscreants go to have boom boom.

Larry Craig says "DON'T DO IT!"
Has he been on an official visit to Michigan? If he is still willing to take visits then Michigan still has a shot.

He's not allowed to take an official visit yet.

This commitment has caught Texas A&M off guard as well. He has visited College Station 3 times and was scheduled to be in town for the spring game tomorrow. I guess we will know how serious his commitment is based on whether or not he still makes the trip tomorrow.
To be fair, he is from North of Dallas so I think that OSU and OU are the closest Big 12 programs to home.

In his interview, Lavey reiterated several times that he's 100% committed to Oklahoma State. He said he's a man of his word and that he's prayed about it and it's the right place for him.
He sounds pretty solid.
Good luck to him.

But this one hurts. Thought he was a pretty good bet to come into the fold. Can't win 'em all.

Especially given our need for a MIKE 'backer. Damn.
if we had something really unique, like a former Duke point guard playing QB... *cries*
Decommit, there's been a lot of that going around lately. lets see what officials he takes.
