Buying single game football tickets

Submitted by skipinmich on August 25th, 2019 at 9:48 AM

I’m seeking out suggestions for sites/places to purchase single game football tickets for a friend.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks!

You should really do it.  It's actually quite simple.  Take out a debit card/credit card from your man purse and enter those numbers into the appropriate boxes.  Then, hit submit.  That's when the magic happens.

If you send me a picture of the front and back of your credit card, I can get you a great deal. I know the best sites/places

Stubhub is the easiest and safest (download legit tickets directly to PC to print or to mobile device for scanning).  You will pay a little more as opposed to Craiglist or scalpers, but you won't get ripped off or need to rely on the other person sending you tickets or meeting you somewhere.

I just checked the UM ticket website and it looks like Iowa, ND, MSU, and OSU are all sold out, so the MGoBlog spreadsheet and Stubhub are your best options.

The university site does still a few tickets left for Middle Tennessee, Army, and "Rutger." You might want to check it out because while the pickings are much slimmer than on StubHub, what tickets they do have are cheaper than Stubhub.

I've used StubHub, Vividseats and Seatgeek all pretty simple and self explanatory.  I'm not sure which one is better, just check what their processing fees are and go with the cheaper one.

I've only once ever had to use StubHub's customer service and they were really easy to work with.

Walk around with your fingers in the air before the game.

Sometimes if you go into the ticket office they'll have tickets that people [sold back/said they couldn't use] that they'll sell you.

If you're a Michigan alum or live in Michigan post that you're looking for tickets to game X on FB. Someone will have some.

I see from your other posts that you are retired.  You get a pass on your post.

Ignore the people mocking you--if you are doing this for the first time it can be intimidating, especially if you are buying one of the premium games, which means there is a lot of $$$ involved.

If the UM Ticket Office still has any tickets for the game in question left, they may be your cheapest option.  But I don't know how many single-game tickets are left at this point.

StubHub will charge you the most fees, but it is very legit.  I have purchased tickets from StubHub to go to baseball games all across the country and to go to the 2013 Michigan basketball regional final.  Never once have the tickets not worked.  There is a large markup fee taken by StubHub, but that is the only downside.

I sell my unused Michigan football tickets through StubHub because Michigan makes it so easy to do so.

This is NOT an ad for StubHub--I hate their fees and wish there was a better alternative.  But personal transfers with people you don't know have the potential for fraud.  StubHub is safe, easy, and expensive.  But if tickets are sold out from the UM Ticket Office, they are probably your best bet.

You can go to StubHub or you can look a the MgoBlog ticket spreadsheet and buy from fellow MGoBloggers. Click on the "Go to MGoBoard" button at the bottom of the Message Board and you will see the link for the ticket spreadsheet. I sell tickets on there and StubHub. I have 2 tix available for MTSU, Rutgers and MSU. You can email me at maizemama at gmail.com (use the @ sign).
