Buckeye Fans Worried That Urban Has a Chance To Be Michigan's Next HC?

The Buckeye Wire has put out an article that entitled, "Odds are hilariously out on Urban Meyer being the next Michigan head coach"... The article really just references the Vegas Odds that were put out earlier today by Brett Murphy....

Its a small article, but the author put out a few points that makes it sound as if Buckeye fans may be actually worried if Urban came to Michigan... Here's a few excerpts:

"You have to wonder how Michigan fans would feel if this were to actually get some legs. Let me first say that this is highly, highly unlikely. Not that the Wolverine brass would actually consider it, but there’s no way in Buckeye Grove heaven that Meyer would coach a school whose name he can’t even get himself to utter."

"First and foremost, it’s unlikely Harbaugh’s going anywhere this year, but man, wouldn’t this just add to the rivalry?"

"As if owning Michigan for the seven years he coached at Ohio State wasn’t enough, could you imagine actually “owning” the Wolverines."

Now, what do you think? I personally do not believe there is a chance that this will ever happen. But when Vega's puts it down and Buckeye fans seem to be giving some worry to it, it has to make one wonder, could this happen??

I personally wonder if Harbaugh ends up leaving after the year, who would we get? Who would be better? As for Urban coming to Michigan, the question is "Why not?" If roles were reversed, do you honestly believe that Harbaugh wouldn't have taken the HC at Ohio State if it were offered to him? Or even Michigan State?

Not a chance, if the money was right...

Ed Warriner was an OSU guy, now he is our guy.

Greg Mattison was Michigan Man, now his on the dark side....

Nick Saban coached LSU and then went their rival, Alabama after his short stint in the NFL...

Again, I'm not saying its a remote possibility that its happening, but y'all are dreaming if you think these guys take the rivalry as serious as we do and wouldn't dare coach at their rival team that they rooted against as a coach or a player.

This kind of crap hurts recruiting... Harbaugh will finish out his contract, he won't be leaving after this season....

How is pointing out articles that are obvious for anyone to see hurting recruiting? Its not like these kids have their head in the sand. And its not like anything that I am saying is already out there on the internet for folks to read? Do you really think recruits come to this site and say, "Wow, look how negative the fans are right now! I don't want to go to Michigan now!" Seriously, you got to be joking...

Again, OSU was not just a job for Urban. Florida was - OSU was not.

And assistant coaches will go anywhere for a promotion. Urban isn't really in that predicament.

Urban and Gundy are the only 2 worthwhile from that list.

Shaw ain’t leaving Stanford and his shine has worn down over the last couple years. Hasn’t done shit with 2 5 star QBs in Costello and Mills. Who does that remind you of?

The guy literally hates Michigan. He revels in the fact this program is a laughingstock. USC just signed their next Heisman trophy winning QB and Meyer will guide him there.

He does not hate Michigan. As the head coach of Ohio State he has to do things to motivate the players.

In his book he said his wife couldn’t veto him from going to Michigan, OSU, or Notre Dame, indicating to me that there’s at least been some interest on his side. Maybe that’s only in the past now but you’ll only know if you ask. He’s loyal to where he’s at and right now he’s a free agent.

I don't want Meyer if he came for free, but I know my voice doesn't count.

it will be embarrassing to me as long time die hard Michigan fan if there is some kind of critical mass that develops for this in the fan base.

It would honestly hurt me more than the losing if he came here
