Briarwood Mall offering overnight RV parking
As predicted in the thread about Pioneer kicking out RVs, Briarwood will offer overnight RV parking and shuttles.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Gameday parking and tailgating for Michigan football, a shuttle to and from the stadium, and overnight spots for RVs are now available at Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor.
The mall, which partnered with Park N Party and EZ Parking Detroit, created a parking and tailgating area across from the Kensington Hotel -- 1.5 miles from Michigan Stadium.
“We’re thrilled to offer college football fans a safe and friendly place to park and tailgate with friends and family before the game,” said Natalie Watson, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Briarwood Mall. “Our Briarwood team is always looking for new ways to be a valuable resource and partner to the Ann Arbor community and those visiting Ann Arbor.”
A “FootballRide Shuttle” that leaves from the Kensington Hotel will be available to take fans to and from Michigan Stadium for $3 round trip.

The Spirit Halloween that took over the old Sears is going to KILL IT this year with all that foot traffic!

I miss that Sears for some reason. So many memories of getting into trouble in the lawn / garden area while my father tried to negotiate the pricing on tools with any salesperson that would listen to him.

I took Driver's Ed at that Sears.

That was my dad to a "d", and one of my brothers inherited that trait from him---it drives his wife absolutely nuts.

Ha I remember the same. I also remember begging my mom and dad for slurpees and nachos in the sears snack bar! Ah the good old days!

External generators and gasoline canisters are not permitted. Your RV must have a working CO detector.
If this is how they got around the safety concerns AAFD had, I'm surprised Pioneer can't do the same.

Looking at Park'n'Party there are two other RV lot options, and they both state the same about generators and having a CO detector. Pretty sure Pioneer could do the same.

Could be Pioneer doesn't want to handle the liability concerns whereas the mall and their partners were willing to work with it. Could also be they are setting up with wider spacing in the mall and didn't think that was doable at Pioneer.

I mean old school malls have nothing to lose at this point, right? They are all facing the wrecking ball in the not too distant future.

Briarwood has a Wetzel’s Pretzel, so there’s that too

Smart move by Briarwood. Fill an immediate need with a cheap and practical solution and profit when folks return to the RV’s. Props.

Parked at the hotels for years and took the bus in with my dad when we just needed to get to a game without tailgating. It was so convenient and quick

This is a clever move and quick thinking by the mall management. They have the paved parking space. Near the highway. Plenty of maneuvering room.
If handled right they could make enough to tide them through the leaner times of the year.
