Braylon Edwards has secret love child?
Braylon might want to invest in some condoms.

$70K a month is completely fucking ridiculous, though.

That might be the best avatar pic I've ever seen.

I like the irony of when it says "Braylon filed to be the father"...and then the woman says "It was a cold, calculated act to gain more money". Good stuff.

I guess you can't win in that situation. You're an ass if you refuse to admit you are the father, and a "cold, calculating" ass if you do admit it. But hey, he's still slightly ahead of Tiger Woods in father-of-the-year standings.

It was actually the Lawyer who said "it was a cold calculated act to gain more money" by filing in Georgia, but that was where this woman lived, had the baby, is registered to vote, etc etc etc. I would say he thought that was where he was supposed to do it.
The cold calculating party in this seems to be the woman. She is the one that made sure it was done in NY and knew that Georgia generally grants less child support.
Further irony is when the father tries to do the right thing by filing to be known as the babies father and the woman cuts it short......
Honestly, I love Braylon but these superstar athlete have got to start thinking with their other head. Use high priced call girls and that way you know what the price is before you get involved.

I think you might have misunderstood. The lawyer said that "it was a cold, calculated act to pay less money". He is saying Braylon filed in Georgia to pay less since the child support laws there are a bit more lenient as to what the require a person to pay. I am sure that she is doing it to get more money but he was attacking him for supposedly trying to get off easy by filing in Georgia. Why would her lawyer say it was a cold, calculated act on her part?

I don't get how she can win the case in court. Her actions are extremely contradictory.

Pro athletes are very, very vulnerable to gold-diggers looking for a rich, genetically gifted man to use as a sperm donor and subsequently a provider object. It's sorta like a cross between prostitution and "the gift that keeps on giving."
All it takes is one night of "work" and the woman is provided with a lifestyle she would be unable to otherwise attain for the next eighteen years or so, long after the athlete isn't making a lot of money anymore. That's a lot of money for lying on your back.

It's funny how men are generally seen as the "slimier" of the two genders.
When I think objectively about our gender as it relates to the opposite I can honestly say one of the slimiest things we do is lie to get into a girls pants. "I don't have a girl friend", "I really do love you" or "I respect you as an intellegent person" (I am obviously talking about things generally and know that there are also hardened criminal of our gender as well).
Women are much more subtle and do it for equally "slimey" reasons. Getting pregnant so that you can have a meal ticket for the rest of your life is slimier than anything I ever did to get a gilr in bed (at least I think it was).

I would agree, and I'm a member of the fairer sex myself.
If I were an athlete I'd be absolutely paranoid that this would be the end result of every liaison. I'm sure it's great to get all that tail thrown your way, but the potential costs are enormous. It's not just the money, it's having kids out there who aren't a part of your daily life, and being roped forever (on some level) to someone (the mother) whom you might not particularly care for outside of the sack.
And it's absolutely a raw deal for the kid. Sure, $70,000 a month buys you some awesome toys, but it's a poor substitute for a dad in the house.

Braylon Edwards is truly a good man.

umm....

As long as it's a boy and he plays for Michigan, I say 'Well done, Braylon'.

She named him "Braylon Jr."? Seriously?

..."made from the sperm of Braylon Edwards" on the baby's arm along with, "I love my $70K a month Momma"

Braylon is doing the right thing, what every man should do and is still being taken to the cleaners. Disgusting.
Why would any child need $70k TAX FREE per month?
Oh I forgot the mother needs to become an instant millionaire.
These stories make me crazy because you know the VAST majority of that $840k per year is being spent on whatever the mother's little heart desires. God forbid she spends it on the child or a savings account/investing it for his future.
This shit makes me sick.

What infant couldn't spend a yearly salary every month? Have a heart, man...
/sarcasm

Sadly, you're right: most of that money likely isn't going to directly benefit the kid. In these cases, the majority of the money should go into a trust fund for the kid.

Don't we all?
