There has been a plague of "O$U", "tUoOS", "fOSU" (among other needless name calling), "lol", "rofl", "lmao", and other shortened words such as "wut" and "cuz". There has also been increasing violence and unnecessary swearing. [Note: Some swearing is alright; it can be cathartic. But the level of swearing around here lately has been over used to the point of being near meaningless.] I'm not even concerned about grammar, punctuation, or spelling. Just 14-year-old texting habits. This isn't scout/rivals/mlive. We hold ourselves to a [slightly] higher standard. Of course, it may also just coincide with the fact that she season started and lots of people who don't come here during the off-season are coming back around. But the boards are definitely more clogged with monotonous and useless material as of late.

We need to keep things respectful, thoughtful and at an adult level. Generally, I like to use the following tenets as a guide to posting: - Language, grammar and coherency is important. - Obey the guidelines set out by Brian et al. It's their blog. - Lively debate is encouraged. - Disagreement is fine, as long as it's respectful. - Opinions are fine, as long as they are supported. - Never use immature language or namecalling. - Geauxfurs are the exception to the above. - Sportsmanship is always important. Those are just my guidelines, but feel free to follow L-O-L-D-O-N-G-S if you like.

FA's board moderation and role as voice of reason is a welcomed improvement to the quality of this here message board, let alone his/her excellent non-revenue sports posts. This blog is getting better all the time. Kudos.
