Bo Said Something About Games Like This

Submitted by blueak on

Something to the effect that any team can beat any other team on any given Saturday. Do you really think Michigan is as bad a team as they appeared to be today? This was a hangover game from last Saturday. Michigan played a hell of a game against a quality opponent last week and came into this game against a low end MAC team sleepwalking. I hope they learned a lesson and take NOBODY for granted the remainder of the year.

Seriously one of the stupidest comments ever. I don't care how much the other team "deserved" it, I want Michigan to win every time - teaching moment or no. I think it's best summed up by this: better to win ugly and have a teaching moment than to lose ugly and have a teaching moment.

This isn't Little League where we want everyone to win.

When you start off a wall of text with "I'm a bit disappointed Michigan won today and that Akron didn't get 8 extra seconds to score"...you're pretty much asking for it. You're wishing that michigan lost today? What kind of fan are you? The only reason you could conceivably want your team to lose is if it helps you land Andrew Luck as the #1 draft pick. Otherwise...no.

If you cannot get the meaning out of my post, welcome to the 2% of the ass clowns that vote the same way their parents did.  Good God(only if you're a believer-don't want to offend the more sensible members), it really doesn't matter how someone starts their post unless you're giving a fucking grade. I wrote what I wrote. I will not recant, "and he was right," if there's a problem, would you rather reward those that caused the problem with an "atta boy" or a " Hey guys, great effort against this inferior team. I'm so proud of you," or do you think the truth will be more beneficial?  You can decide for yourself. I've already told you which way I'm leaning, and I'm not about to change my views. I was merely stating the sting of a loss on what they perceive to be the start of a great season prior to playing someone worthy of honorable mention in the top 25 would have been far more beneficial than this weak ass victory.  Further need not be said.  However, I am glad that some of you are actually paying attention instead of just the fucking door man.

My 2 takeaways (no pun intended), our pass rush and passing game need MAJOR help. Inside runs were difficult and Borges seemed to want this game to be the game that he tries out whacky plays. Funchess and Butt (I think) literally smashed into each other on crossing routes. Instead of running the ball down their throats, we'd call some weak screen pass or Devin bootleg that got nothing because our interior OL can't hold a block for 2 seconds. Defensively, the corners would alternate bump coverage for one of them, while the other plays 15 yards off his man. Middle of the field was WIDE OPEN all game long. Zero defensive pressure. Counted maybe 5 times that we actually hit their QB.
