Blake Corum's Heisman odds

Submitted by Ezekiels Creatures on October 29th, 2022 at 9:42 AM

He's been moving up, and is poised to move into 3rd. But catching up to where 1st and 2nd are will take some doing. At this point, if these odds hold true, he could be a finalist and in New York for the ceremony. He's going to need some really big games to win it. Hendon Hooker came from the backwater in odds just a few weeks ago to now being ready to lead the odds. His big game against Alabama made people take notice. He faces Georgia next week.

I'm hoping Corum has a really big day today. But I'm keeping the powder of my expectations dry for him wining. I do have real hope for him to be a finalist at the ceremony.

It's not gonna happen. Even if we beat Stroud, he'll still have big numbers in the game. Tennessee will probably falter and young missed some time, though if he leads bama to the sec title, he's probably back in it.

Corum is hurt by the fact that he doesn’t have a douchy coach like day who focuses on amplifying his Heisman candidate’s numbers even after a game is already out of hand.

All Day I’ve been trying to figure out what douchy coach you might be referring to. In this Day and age of college football, and toDay of all Days-

Oh look; college gameDay is on…

(ed. oh I see you said day. It’s Day. Day’s the douchy dicky douche canoe)

Got my hopes up that Tennessee gets stuck in the mud vs Kentucky today. After 2 straight games against no defense I'm hoping they're looking past them, and their Heisman hype train finally gets derailed.

I’d rather Hooker wins it than Stroud. Assuming Blake doesn’t of course. If he continues on the way he has and Tennessee doesn’t lose or drops a close one somewhere where he still plays well I think he deserves it more than Stroud. I can buy his numbers being a little more legit considering the talent differential. The fun part is we will get to watch it play out.

Hooker is going to get pimp slapped by UGA, and that will put him out of the running (late season recency bias)

If we beat OSU, that could be enough to put Corum ahead of Stroud

Young would be lurking though

I'd love to see him as a finalist. But one running back has won Heisman in past ten years. Going take some amazing performances and the QB frontrunners to have one or two lousy games.

I’m betting if he has a 5 TD 200-300yard game for #2 OSU to go to the championship he’d be considered. He’s got to put a real show on at the end here though.

Stroud has effectively lost it today IMO. I’m sure the committee will somehow keep him as a front runner, but sheesh. First actual balanced team he’s faced and he’s put up one TD in 3 qtrs
