Big Ten Network - Live From UM Practice on 8/11 at 6PM EST
For the past few years BTN has done a bus tour traveling to each Big Ten team to watch a practice and provide their opinions on each squad. They don't provide much insight but it at least gives us a first look at the 2014 version of Michigan football. Tour starts tomorrow (8/5) at IU. The show is on BTN daily (called BTN Live) at 6PM EST. They will be in Ann Arbor next Monday, 8/11.

I always get excited for this show, then at the end of it think to myself that I wasted an hour of my life.
But I'm excited to watch it next week. And at 7 I'll question why I was so excited.

Michigan will get a network of their own someday.
It's going to be digital and it's going to beat the hell out of what I have right now with MGoBlueTV.

I've actually gotten some decent info out of the show. In 2009 Dinardo mentioned that the offense was improved, but the defense would struggle, which was spot on. Last year I believe he mentioned we were weak in the trenches.
He usually tweets out his reactions from the day, and while many on this site know quite a bit about the team, he usually finds something we wouldn't expect (such as who is unexpectedly taking 1st team reps, which freshman look good enough to play, etc.).

Dinardo typically has some fairly pointed tweets, which mean more than the actual broadcast. I'd watch for those above anything else from this event.
I caught a quick Dinardo blurb during the Media Days. He said that mainly what UM needs is to up it's energy and re-focus, which I agree with. Somewhere last season the team stagnated and bogged down. I'll be looking to see if he re-visits this point during their visit and if he thinks there is a difference.

From what I remember, there actually used to be some real good footage of drills back in the Rich Rod years but then that stopped recently. So not sure if that's a BTN or Hoke thing? ...my guess is it's a Hoke thing.
Either way, it always least gets me excited for the season even if there isn't much new material they provide.
