If you were able to ask Rich Rodriguez a single question, what would it be? I'll go first - how many snaps will Denard get on September 5th? Obviously he would never answer this directly but I'd like to see how he tangentially approaches this.

"I won't know until September. Look, I like to run a competitive program, those who earn the right to play, will play. Next question" Something like that I'd imagine? I'd ask him "What are your goals for this season? In other words, what targets (record/outcome) do you have for this season that, if reached, would make you happy.

"Our goal is and always is to win the B10 title" Next question I would like to ask ... If you had to choose one kid who you feel is under the radar and is capable of having a great season .. who would it be ? And if he didnt answer straight up then id bring out the big guns .. "are you going to kick the shit out of sweatervest or not ?

If I had to answer that, I'd say Junior Hemmingway. He's shown flashes in the last two years and I think with a decent qb and a legit running threat, he could be a big factor. I think he has the most upside on the outside this season. I think him going down with mono last year was an under rated factor in the poor season.

English yet, because Junior's last name should be one of the easiest ones for you to spell on the team. As for last year, I doubt he would have made much of a difference last year in the passing offense. You forget that Threet and Sheridan couldn't hit the side of a barn with their passing. HEMINGWAY would've done little to help with that. My choice - Ryan Van Bergen. Graham is going to get double-teams and Martin is a workout warrior and will be able to get traction in the middle. If Van Bergen is ready, he could have a surprisingly good season.

Good lord, get over yourself. As to the actual topic... How do you think UM would have done in '04 without Edwards? A WR that can bail out a floundering quarterback has been shown to make a massive difference in recent UM history. I'll be the first to admit that HEMINGWAY is no Edwards and true freshman Henne was far superior to last years QBs, but the point stands. Junior made a great catch at the end of the Utah game and has a lot of potential. Agreed, Van Bergen (or wheoever is opposite Grahm) is bound to have a solid season.

No one gives a flying fuck about your dumbass superiority complex. Con-fucking-gratulations, you spelled Hemingway correctly. I think we all knew who the other poster was referring to. Do you honestly think your ability to spell gives you free license to look down on others? I'd rather have posters like him than you on this board.

It was a joke. Most people read Hemingway in high school. That's what I was getting at. I don't look down at others - well, wait, I'm 6'6" so many times I do. Let me just say that I have a very easy last name to spell and people always spell it incorrectly (as in, adding a letter or spelling it the way a famous actor does). As a result I'm sensitive to spelling errors regarding people's names, especially when it can be avoided. That is all. GO BLUE.

"You obviously haven't been through High School English yet, because Junior's last name should be one of the easiest ones for you to spell on the team." This type of fire and brimstone should be directed towards Dannnnnnnnnn O'Neill's parents. As a side note, I wouldn't expect any less pretentious dickwaddery from a fan of the guy that wrote the Old Man and the Sea. What a snooze. As a side side note (mostly to dispel backlash), I really loved "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place."

Big Boutros

Boutros: Coach Rodriguez, this will be your second year as Michigan's head coach. You've endured a bizarre laundry list of accusations, negative press, transfers, and general ill will from the administration, students, and fans of your former program at West Virginia. You struggled to a 3-9 season in your first season here, ending a record 33-year streak in which Michigan played in a bowl game. Surely in your 24-plus months at the helm, you've learned an innumerable list of things that make Michigan Football unique in the country and, indeed, the world. So, with that in mind, taking the entirety of your coaching career and your current experience at Michigan into consideration, do you have any hot daughters?

Coach Rodriguez, I know that you have been asked a number of difficult questions during your helm as the Head Football Coach in Ann Arbor, I know that you are in the process of a rebuilding year, that being said, who do you think would be more appropriate to play the role of Warren Beatty in an anticipated Deliverance Remake, Tressell, Weiss, or Dantonio?

Now that we have an mgoblog correspondent at the B10 media days, we should change this thread into what questions we want the Varsity Blues guy to ask if given the chance. My Question: What were the keys to your big second season turnaround at West Virginia? Do these elements exist on this year's team?

I think I would ask him something like this "RR can you tell by this post that we are bored out of our minds and chomping at the bit for September 5th?" Oh yeah and like Boutross said "do you have any hot daughters?" but I guess that would be 2 questions now wouldn't it.

some night for a chance to answer selected bloggers questions. If he would be opposed to having one of his coaches(Barwis) join us some night? What are his thoughts about Michigan Football blogs?

What role will Kevin Koger, Brandon Moore, and Martell Webb play this season? Follow up: What do you envision the role of the TE being in the evolution of the Rich Rodriguez spread?

Coach, first off, congratulations on surviving your first year at Michigan in spite of freep reports designed to undermine your efforts. My question is, how do you and the rest of your staff like working with your new defensive coordinator and do you feel the defense will allow fewer big plays this year?
