I still remember some snot Maryland fans with a sign saying "Where's the challenge?" back in probably around 2007 or 2008 since the ACC was 9-0/10-0 around then

Its quite satisfying to see us go 4-0-2 (edit: 5-0-2) against them since.

All the talking heads on the mothership were certain the ACC was winning this thing, like, not a chance we could hang with the mighty conference this year (though it may be the best, their top teams are realllly good). Fockin morons I tell ya.

Their football team won a conference championship and is about to win a second in an era when co-champions are no longer a possibility, meaning you have a 1/14 shot at it instead of about 2/10 like it used to be. And their basketball team has been even better under Izzo.

I do have the sense to not put words in anyone's mouth. Nowhere did I say they didn't have a good football/basketball setup. I'm not going to blow them because they have had 2 big 10 championships in the past 20 years. Good run for them. Awesome job. But since the year 2000, a nice point of reference, we have more big 10 championships. Three years ago, the last time Dantonio didn't have a returning starter at QB, he had s losing record. Let's see what he does next year.

Just like when your former player admitting to cheating tournament drug tests on twitter this summer?

How about the local media cover up Bullough's steroid suspension?

What does bowl record matter?  Give me a conference title.

Will you really care that much if msu wins a Big Ten title and then gets blown out against Alabama?

Some quality teams didn't even go to bowl games back then, you should be knowledgable on  why concerning that subject.

Wow I just looked it up and Dantonio has actually already equaled Bo with 5 bowl wins.  Winning a conference championship is a big deal, especially now that the Big Ten is more competitive and there are 14 teams and there are no shared titles and you must win a championship game.  MSU is playing in it's 3rd one.  I can understand your bitter jealousy.

Wow, I just looked it up.  Bo ended up with 13 Big Ten titles, all of which came in seasons with regular season games against Ohio State.

Interestingly, D'antonio has two Big Ten titles and both came in seasons where there was no regular season game against Ohio State.

2010 seems a bit weak as Tressel's margin of victory over D'antonio was usually of the blowout margin so that is a weak claim to a title.

I don't believe Bo ever avoided playing Ohio State any season as well.  D'antonio seems to have done that a few times.

Also, its awfully weird that in 2013, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Penn State weren't opponents of msu.  And that was when there was only 12 teams!

I hope D'antonio is able to get to 13 titles.  I know his health isn't great.

Keep me posted.  I am too jealous, so I won't be able to chat on your SpartonDog Forum.

Of course, Izzo's never quite had a season on the injury front like we did last year.  Even his "weird guys" season can't compare to losing both starting guards to season-ending injuries.  Last year screws up Beilein's records.
