Best way to get single ticket to next baseball game?

Submitted by WichitanWolverine on June 18th, 2019 at 9:31 AM

I know this was discussed a bit recently but I went back and couldn't find the specific post.

Anyway, I'm looking for a single ticket. Any advice on how to get one at a decent price? Waiting in the GA line is an option. Will they sell out of those most likely?

Any help is appreciated. Go Blue.

I did the GA thing and didn’t have a problem getting seats.  I talked to a gentleman from Omaha at the first UM game and he made it sound like attendance will dwindle deeper into the tournament and demand for tickets goes way down.

As someone who has lived in Omaha for a few years now, this has always been my experience at the CWS. As teams are eliminated, tickets get significantly cheaper to buy via Stubhub or whatever ticket service you like, as well as to scalp. The next game being the early game Friday will help out too - weekday afternoon games usually get a much smaller crowd.

Let's see, commenters have already mentioned that tickets become easier to come by as you get further along in the tournament. And secondly the stadium is located in Omaha, Nebraska and not Manhattan, NY. I already guessed that parking would not be a problem. Then I spent ten seconds looking up the stadium on Google maps to see there is a huge parking lot next to the stadium.

Would you really decide not to go based board replies to the parking situation?

Actually, parking right next to the stadium can be tricky. A lot of the parking lots near the stadium are used by the Fan Fest and have tents selling merchandise, beer, and food. A lot of the other parking lots are either reserved, or first come first served and go quickly with tailgaters.

However, if you're willing to walk a few blocks, you should be able to find street parking or a parking deck 4 or 5 blocks south or west of the stadium. Parking there will also make your exit easier. There's a parking deck at about 18th and Capitol that is usually pretty empty. I've parked there a number of times without much difficulty. You can also find a public lot near the Old Market. It's a bit of a walk (8 blocks or so south of the stadium), but if you want to go out in the Old Market after the game, that's not a bad option.

You seem quite knowledgable so what can you tell me about the concession stands?  Are the lines long there or can I get a delicious hot dog and a beer in a reasonable amount of time?  Do they have nachos?

Can you fill me as well on the bathrooms.  Depending on where I sit and how many delicious hot dogs and cold beers I consume I will probably have to use them.  Maybe even more than once.   Will the lines be long there or will I be able to pop in between innings, do my business and get back to my seat?  And would you recommend going before say...the fourth inning or so to ensure they are still clean?

Lastly I need to learn more about the ushers.  At some stadiums the users are quite helpful and show you where to sit and even wipe off the seat prior to you sitting down.  I like that.  Do the ushers do that for you at Omaha or do they just take your ticket and point in a general direction for you to follow.  That's bad.

I'll make up my mind on going once I know more.

Sorry to bother you.  Just looking for advice on parking.  Looking to bring my family.

Parking in Minneapolis is difficult.  Navigating Parking at Lambeau and Miller Park is easy.  Knowing the shuttles to The Big House are helpful.

That is all.  Kiss my ass!

Respectfully Yours!

Getting tickets is definitely easier later in the week. I mentioned this in an earlier thread, but I usually take my gf to the Thursday night game. I've always been able to scalp tickets at the stadium for about $40 each and get good seats.

Since it will be an afternoon game, getting shaded seats may be worth it. Seats in the lower deck on the first base side about row 18 and up is where you'll be most likely to find shade.

I've just been doing GA, last night was pretty full but there were seats to be had. Friday will be even easier to get a seat since the game starts on a Friday before most of us are out of work. Plus Arkansas fans were the dominant fanbase and they are out so... hotels and tickets should be easier to come by.

I’ve got 3 for Friday and Saturday (if we lose) available.  They’re in the Michigan section (either 202 or 222 depending on if they’re home or away) row 2.  I just want face value which I believe is 40-45$, if you want o offer me less, go for it and if no one wants them for full price I’ll take best offer, I just want Michigan fans to use them.  All 3 need to go as a set, they need to be picked up at will call.  I’ve got 1 person interested for Friday so far, but need to confirm they’re still in.  If anyone else is interested let me know.

GA should be little problem by Friday.  At least a couple fan bases will have gone home and plenty of the locals will be beer-soaked and burned out. The ease of that situation will reverse for the championship.

You can park on the street 2-3-4 blocks SW of the stadium at 10 hour meters at 25 cents an hour. It's cheaper and easier in and out than anything else.

If you can't find a GA (local supermarkets have them) check back in and I can give you a couple.

Welcome to Omaha, assuming you're coming from Wichita or elsewhere.

In addition to GA, which should not be an issue getting in for the afternoon game, or Stubhub/scalpers the box office also holds 500-1,000 reserved seats that are available for purchase the day of the game.

In order to discourage people from getting in line at insane hours, everyone in line by, I believe it is 9 a.m. (box office opens at 10) gets a wristband with a number on it. They then randomly draw a number and the person with that wristband becomes the first person in line to the box office. That's another option if you so desire.
