Best Home Football Schedule
How a kid from Northville wound up in Starkville, Mississippi is a tale of woe for another time. However, this year's Mississippi State home schedule allows me to see some pretty good visiting teams. Mississippi State's home conference schedule is LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, and Alabama. Add to that a non-conference visit from Georgia Tech and some good teams will be visiting about a mile and a half walk from my house. My question is which team's home fans have the opportunity to see the best visiting teams? I would be interested to see if any school has five better visitors than LSU, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Florida.
Tough to beat that line up of visiting teams.
but maybe a Big 12 team has better.
Michigan has Penn State, Notre Shame, and Ohio State this year. WMU might be ranked. IMHO that's purty close.
Really looking forward to those three this year. I'm really looking forward to all of the games, but a win in those three would make for an amazing season.
probably be better games, but Mississippi State's schedule seems more difficult. We can maybe say Florida (Tebow and all) = tOSU, the tanished domers = LSU, Penn State = Alabama. IMHE Georgia Tech and Ole Miss > WMU.
I liked what Croom was doing there, he had State really starting to put something together. They were a ton of fun to watch, despite sometimes sloppy play. It's too bad he's not the coach anymore.
he's gone. He was a character guy who kicked a bunch of talented players with off the field issues off the team. He had success one year. This raised expectations around here. He then had a bad year and was fired. Mississippi State thinks of itself as some kind of elite school because it is in the SEC. I get tired of the Big Ten bashing down here and root hard for all Big Ten schools in non-conference games, tOSU included.
Miss State is to be commended for hiring Croom. The real shame is that a man of his credentials couldn't get a better opportunity because of the color of his skin. You would think that we had progressed past that in this era, but the numbers reflect a different situation.
black head coachs is low. However, you said "a man of his credentials couldn't get a better opportunity because of the color of his skin."
Now, explain to me how Ty Willingham, a black man, was able to land one of the biggest jobs in college football at Notre Dame. Set...Go
...I'm a Minnesota season ticket holder. In 2010 I get USC, Penn State, Ohio State, Illinois and Iowa at home.
Texas is coming up to 7200 feet to play Wyoming this year, but the start time is the same as the ND game. The rest of the Wyoming schedule is boring. That is the curse of living in the wilderness and being a college football fan.
Yeah how in the hell did that happen? texas in Laramie? Really?
STARK VEGAS!!!
happens in Stark Vegas stays in Stark Vegas (mainly because its about 90 miles from an interstate). After living in AA and Athens, GA it gets a bit boring around here.
with Purdue, Utah, Cal, USC, Arizona St, and Oregon St. Va Tech has the Tide, Nebraska, the Canes, BC, and UNC. Okie St has Georgia, Missou, Texas, Texas Tech, and Colorado. Illinois has Missou, Penn St, Mich St, Michigan, Fresno St.
