Battle 4 Atlantis Champs (and two wins over two top 10 teams in two days) POSBANG

Yup, this team really is pretty good (and criminally underrated).

Is Howards 7-0 start the greatest start for a D1 first time head coach? I would find it hard to believe anyone has 3 top 10 wins in their first 7 games.

The great Steve Fisher had a pretty good start, also. ..

But let me say this about Juwan Howard: John Beilein is already forgotten.  And all those folks who will try to lessen what Howard has done by saying *this is Beilein's team,* no. . .no. . .this is a whole different team on offense and defense. . .this is Howard's team.  And I don't believe you will see the players run out of Ann Arbor as soon as they possibly can, as they did under Beilein.

This is a stupid take...  apparently you forgot that Beilein brought the program back from the abyss, and with relish.....Can't say he's forgotten. EVER.. AND THESE ARE HIS PLAYERS !!!!  These are his players.  Don't forget that.  I'm hoping that Howard has a reunion of sorts where he brings back Beilein as honorary captain, along with maybe Fisher too....Granted, Howard has to recruit to that same Beilien level because these players are all sound, and we wouldn't be seeing what we saw, with the player quality that Beilein inherited.  And I'm quite confident Howard will continue the upward trajectory that Beilien put us on.... Get ready to hear Burnett's name pop up again.  Be ready for Dickinson to commit. Get ready for another player like Christopher.  Get ready for recruits to come out of nowhere to show interest.  It's on, folks.  Howard just rocketed the program back into the Blue Blood center of the basketball center of the universe. You won't hear much of Memphis and Hardaway. It'll get replaced by Howard and Michigan.

Haha!  I knew there would be Beilein crybabies. ..

Let me put it this way, and those who can read the signs of the times will know I am right: The Beilein book is closed, and the dust is already settling on it.

Please go be a buckeye fan, they're the kind who would think your comment worth making.  Beilein took us to the championship, TWICE, and should've won one.  He took a team that wasn't already great and made them great.  He got us Burke and brought us magic for a decade.

Howard's future looks great, and I'm excited, but can't you just stop and be grateful for BOTH?  We're better because Beilein was here, we're in good hands now that Beilein has moved on.  Shitting on Beilein is as pathetic as being a Buckeye fan, ffs.

I think we can just count ourselves lucky that we replaced a great coach with another great coach.

Comments like this are why Harbaugh said he doesn't like to compare individuals because someone ends up denigrated by the comparison. Personally, I won't forget Beilein. Those basketball teams brought a lot of good memories.

The years in between Fischer and Beilein? Now that can be forgotten.

I am here to eat crow and take my spankings. Before the season I said we would be an NIT team. Whoo boy was I wrong along with the AP. This team is full of ballers. Coach Howard & Team have done a fantastic job with the transition. The defense hasn’t missed a step and the offense is explosive. Love this team.

Compared to last year this team has a lot or height and length, and looks to be a better shooting team.

Wagner is crazy.  When I see him on the floor, my mind thinks its Castleton.  But then he drives with the speed/agility of a guard and my mind is blown.

I do wish he would dunk more instead if laying them in.  It looks like he gets high enough...maybe due to his wrist he isnt dunking.

We could very well just be on a hot streak, so who knows if we will be a better shooting team. What I can say and something I think will hold true is that we are taking much smarter shots. I think there were more "why did you shoot that" moments in 5 minutes of any given game last year than we have had all year. Granted a lot of that was poole or brazdeikis, as good as they were, launching up something that should just not have gone up.
