Is Austin Davis Back As A Student Manager?
I sit in the upper bowl at men’s basketball games. Between that distance and face masks, I can’t be certain, but it sure looks like Big Country is one of the student managers. I mean, there is a guy who looks to be 6’10” hanging with the managers and wearing their same “uniform” of khaki pants and a maize polo shirt.
I have tried researching this but can’t find any confirmation. I know he is back in the area because he is an assistant coach at his alma mater, Onsted High School, whose team includes “little” brother 6’9” sophomore Ayden Davis.

Not much of one since he used the word KHAKI and that's definitely a Jim Harbaugh is gone trigger word.

I was wondering the same thing, I thought I saw him last week also but couldn't confirm anything on the interwebs.
Kind of wish we still had him for a handful of minutes a game when foul trouble hits... Which seems to be often lately

We could certainly use Big Country suited up on the roster, much more than as a Student Manager!

Does Austin Davis have eligibility left?
He's a high energy guy and was the perfect change of pace offensively last season for Hunter, and other than being foul-prone and having meh foot speed and quickness, played decent defense for us.

He's a baller..... not a highly talented guy, but probably the hardest working player on the court. him being on the roster would be huge. I was disappointed when he announced that he would not be returning for his final year of eligibility. I figured he was going to go to a smaller school where he could be the top big man, but if he's back, its a damn shame he's not on the roster.

I like Austin, but he was horrible defensively.

Strongly disagree. He wasn't quite as good as Teske or Dickinson, but he was serviceable enough to play in the tournaments... and better than a few options we use now.

Yeah. He couldn't keep up defensively with this group.

He signed a contract with a European team so I assume no unless there’s a loophole I’m missing

He still has a year of eligibility. Is there a way we can get him on the court. Sure could use his him out there this year.

I think he'd have to be enrolled in classes to be eligible.

He played for a pro team in Poland last year, so that probably killed any remaining eligiblity.

Austin Davis should still be on the roster. Just blows my mind Faulds and Nunez are still.

He’s either involved with strength and conditioning for basketball team or a trainer of some sort. Not sure, but he is involved in something related to basketball program
