Appreciation for Haskins
No, this is not about how HH carried this team on his back to defeat the Buckeyes and put us on the path towards NC.
No, this is about how good the man looked while doing it.
Just look at him right after the game:
After carrying the rock 28 times for 169 and scoring 5 TOUCHDOWNS (!!!), the man looks like he just came home from a stroll around the block. Hell, he probably can go right into a GQ photoshoot as is.
He is a true Michigan Man.

We all get one pass for being horny on main, and today is yours. Enjoy it!

I hope to appreciate him for another year.
Go Blue!

After this year, the man's got to move on in my view. I wouldn't begrudge him. Just saw he' s a sophomore though? Thought he was a junior.

He's a senior that redshirted his freshman year (to switch to LB I believe) and got a free year from COVID. So he's technically got two years of eligibility remaining, but that is an NFL back there. Honestly, he reminds me a lot of Laveon Bell when he was at MSU, hurdles and all. Win next week (and perhaps more after that) and he has accomplished all he's needed to accomplish here. Hopefully he taught Dunlap all he knows though.
And as for the appreciation, he is a beast and a Michigan legend that will go down as one of the all time greats. Also some appreciation for JayBaugh for identifying him as a 2-star!

Much as I've grown to love H2's game and tremendous heart as one of the great backs in Michigan history, I would urge him to go for the NFL money if he's rated as a high draft pick. Even really good NFL backs have relatively short careers, so the younger you are and the fewer hits you've taken in college can add a few more seasons and potentially millions in earnings.
And yes, he's sexy as hell.

While I would love for him to come back next year, he should go get paid NOW. I'm not sure there is much he could do next year to help his draft stock.

Honestly he should go to the NFL. Corum's injury allowed him to raise his stock as high as it is going to go. With Corum and Edwards likely still on upward trajectories in their development, the carries would probably be split a lot closer to three ways next year if he returns. Go get paid young man.

Is this an appreciation thread, or a public expression of hidden, burning, unrequited man-love?
November 29th, 2021 at 12:21 PM ^
He ran for five touch downs and tea bagged an OSU player in front of 15 million viewers...pure burning unrequited man-love for him yes sir.

A mancrush is a common result of a game like Saturday.....
there's no shame in this OP....
Just please don't act on it.

Best back since Hart. Been our best back last 2 seasons.
Edwards has the potential to be our next great back.

and for much of the year, Haskins was the 1B to Corum's 1A, wouldn't be surprised to see both backs (assuming Haskins is gone) get All Conference/All-American recognition next year

I am not exaggerating when I say I will appreciate Hassan Haskins for the rest of my life

A true Michigan legend. Deservedly among the ranks of other Buckeye-slaying running backs like Chris Perry and Tim Biakabutuka. Thank you, Hassan

I've seen all the modern day great Michigan running backs starting with Lytle, and this year Hassan has become as good as any of them IMO. It's not just the yards and the TD's. It's the toughness, grit, and unwillingness to go down that is awe inspiring. There have been games this year where he seemed to carry the whole team on his back. Add to that his durability and tremendous ball security, and you have one of the Michigan RB greats. Enjoy watching him for the next games, because I'd strongly guess he'll be going to the NFL next season. Thank you Hassan!

He reminds me so much of Wheatley.
November 29th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
He's definitely got the size like Wheatley, but from what I recall he was more of a track star with size. H2 to me is more like a A-Train or Chris Perry. Just a battering ram that inexplicably will not go down until your entire defense gang tackles him (and will drag them for a few more yards before doing so).
Either way, +1 because like Wheatley, he has cemented himself as a legendary running back at Michigan. That was a Biakabatuka level performance on Saturday.

Yes he is a Michigan Man. There can't be enough appreciation threads for Hassan. He etched his name into the lore of players who carried their teams on to a victory over the dreaded buckeyes of ohio.
One more big game before he'll get a break from the daily grind. It will be fun to watch him Saturday night.

Weird.

Very humble kid, love his work ethic.
He will be missed, but I will be rooting for him on Sundays!
November 29th, 2021 at 2:10 PM ^
First time I've seen this picture of H2 hurdeling an OSU guy. Looks to me as if the OSU is leaning over to avoid hitting H2. Photo caption there could be "Holy crap! I don't want him to hit me! I'll just bend over and he can jump me."

Heisman finalist, he should be.

I would be SHOCKED if he doesn't go pro after what he proved this year
