I've bought a few Tigers tickets off Stubhub, no problems so far.

I have not personally, but my co-worker has and likes it. It is reputable. Go for it.

I used it earlier this season for BGSU tickets and I had no problem with them. StubHub has a guarantee anyway that if for some reason the tickets are fake or something you will get your money back. But I recommend StubHub for sure.

but when I did use 'em, had no problems at all. Picked up a couple of home and away games in '04-07. I would feel very comfortable using that site again if the need arose.

I actually bought hockey regional tickets in Bridgeport, CT on Stubhub 2 years ago (when we lost to Air Force). After I had completed my purchase and paid for the tickets, Stubhub notified me that the seller couldn't provide the tickets. True to their policy, Stubhub found comparable tickets (same section, a few rows closer) and sold them to me for the same price. I believe the seller who backed out was responsible for paying the difference between the tickets I initially bought and the tickets I ended up with.

For Michigan Home Games?
There are almost always better options from the MgoBlog spreadsheet, to Craigslist, to the scalpers a minute after kickoff.

I buy and sell using stubhub. They are reputable on both ends. The buyer is protected against fraud more so than any other site. The only problem I have with stub hub is their GD fees!! They are ridiculous, but they have the market by the balls!
What were you looking for? When I buy tickets to games I usually use stubhub as a last resort or for hard to find tickets. I usually use eBay or craigslist first. I have also used mgoblog's ticket spreadsheet before as well.

i'm looking to go to the penn state game in Happy Valley.

I have PSU tickets for sale [email protected] They are upper deck though.
October 15th, 2010 at 3:28 PM ^
The fees are high, but if it's a big event or you are going out of town for an event, there's something to be said for the peace of mind that you can't get ripped off -- because the seller gets nothing if the tickets are fake, they remove the incentive for selling fake tickets, so it's a near guarantee that you will get real tickets for the event. And in the unlikely event that you get fake tickets you get your money back.
With Craigslist, you avoid the fees, but there are always people selling fake tickets on there, and you're screwed if you bought fakes because you'll never find the person who ripped you off.

I find that tickets are usually noticeably cheaper on eBay. When I looked for tix for the MSU game I think the cheapest I saw was about $500 for a pair (bought them late...). Got a pair from eBay for $350.
<br>
<br>My gut says StubHub is probably safer, but eBay does have protections. But I've bought many dozens of tickets on eBay for all sorts of events and I've never had a problem.
<br>
<br>I've used StubHub five or six times and never had s problem.

all the time. It's fast and reliable. You will pay the price though with the elevated prices and fees

tour? Am pretty hyped about that. "bRING YOUR fOOTSPRAY bECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE fuNKY."
October 15th, 2010 at 3:38 PM ^
do they usually send hard tickets or is it those e-tickets printouts?
October 15th, 2010 at 7:10 PM ^
I bought a couple PSU-game tickets on stubhub and the only option was e-ticket print outs. Frown.
October 15th, 2010 at 3:41 PM ^
... tickets for the ASU (Steven Threat) game just last week from Stubhub. It was great, and I even was able to print them from my computer. Super convenient. Very pleased.
October 15th, 2010 at 3:54 PM ^
However depending on which game, if its this one. Might be cutting it close. Sometimes the seller will meet you somewhere.
The biggest problem is the 10% fee they so those $300 buck tickets just became $330. But their fees are more reasonable than the online brokers, which will lure you in with low prices.

I use Stubhub all the time. I don't know how great the prices are compared to other places but it's easy to use and I have never had a problem with it. I generally think it is better for MLB/NHL tickets than for college tickets b/c it seems with college tickets they don't let you do e-delivery, but one time I ordered tickets to see Vanderbilt play basketball at Georgia and they mailed them to me and I had no problem with that either.

Got my UConn tix that way. I was looking for 4 good seats together (some good friends andI coming back to town for the first time in many years) and was willing to pay a bit more to be assured 4 good seats together. Paid about $110 for sec 44 row 19 and everything was smooth and professional. If I lived locally or wasn't looking for 4 together I would have used Craigslist or bought from scalpers, but it was worth paying some more for the peace of mind.

try Craiglist. I've had good success in the Detroit area with getting season ticket holders that aren't using them, usually without ridiculous premiums. Example: I just got Iowa tickets from some guy in Section 23 (on the 50 yd line) two tics for $150 total

to go to a Lions/Browns game and go to plenty of Tribe games. No complaints - works great.

I've used StubHub for Michigan and other games and never had a problem. It is, however, expensive.
October 15th, 2010 at 9:29 PM ^
I bought some tickets on StubHub for a Knicks game, and everything seemed fine. I'm sure there are scams at times, but now with most tickets being sold digitally and the various safeguards in place, it is probably as safe as picking up actual tickets on the street or through Craigslist, if not safer because of the transparency.
October 15th, 2010 at 10:28 PM ^
I've used them a couple of times here in Chicago. I received the paper tickets and all was good.
It looks ok - Try also Ticketsinventory.com , their fees is usually much cheaper than stub hub.
I just heard of vivid seats thanks to this post, but when I went to compare Vividseats to stubhub, I was confused with what the total prices end up being. On both sites I would see the same ticket listings, but after a painful process of making it to the checkout they both added additional services fees from 10% to 20% on top of the already ludicrous prices.
This got me to do some reading and I came across this article in yahoo that talked about Tickpick: http://news.yahoo.com/tickpick-launches-first-comprehensive-bid-ask-platform-live-130905686.html
Before I buy tickets to watch the New York Giants kick some @$$ this year I just wanted to make sure that I am safe if I buy tickets with tickpick. This article says they have a guarantee similar to the other websites, but that they only charge the seller a fee when tickets get sold and that the buyers aren't charged any additional fees except fedex costs.
It seems to good to be true, can anyone speak from experience?
I know the board is harsh on swearing, but seriously, what the fuck?
I have previously used vivid atleast 3 times, that was long back. 2 times were completely fine, the 3rd time there was a communication problem with the seller but it was sorted quickly. so, so far so good. fingers crossed.

I have used vivid seats a few times and never had any problems. I was checking out their website and it seems like they are partnered with a lot of teams/schools:
