Any video of Oosterbaan ceremony?
I was looking at the photo gallery on the Michigan Photo Store, and I saw they had pictures of the pregame ceremony for Bennie. Does anyone have any videos of the ceremony or have the video they played on the scoreboard? They have the one from Desmond up on youtube.

Not sure, but it was a lot shorter than the ceremony for Desmond. They talked a little about how he was an accomplished athlete in three sports (football, basketball and baseball) and one of his relatives was presented a framed jersey with a Legends patch on it. That was about it.

...but were the video introductions the same as last year? Or did Old Hat Creative whip up some new ones?

They did not do the "This is Michigan" thing with the players and Hoke. I was disappointed about that.

That's too bad. I liked those a lot last year. Anybody get any footage of the new ones? I looked on the Old Hat Creative/ MGoBlue YouTube pages but it looks like they haven't been posted yet.

Marginal threadjack, but it seems strange it went to an LB. I thought there was a positional continuity thing with this, although I guess there is no tight end/wr (is that the most apporpriate parallel?) who has earned it.

Everyone played both ways then. Oosterbaan played end on defense as well, which is pretty close to what Ryan plays today.

There were no "linebackers" back then. There were Ends, Guards, Tackles, Backs and Halfbacks which played on offense and defense.
Hell the QB was the kicker most of the time. Very confusing to the average fan nowadays.

There were linebackers. The position was invented by Yost.

Yes, but they weren't called linebackers back then. They were called "Defensive Halfbacks"
Older position = Modern definition
Ends= WR & TE on offense, DE on defense
Tackles= OT on offense, DT or NT on defense.
Guards= OG on offense, MG on defense
Halfbacks= Left/Right HB or FB on offense, LB on defense
Backs= FB on offense, DB on defense
