The more data aggregated by KenPom, the more useful it gets. Tempo free analysis is relatively meaningless without playing conference opponents as statistics usually vary widely from cupcakes early on in the season at home vs. away contests in Bloomington, etc. You'll see that as more B1G contests go on, there will be more value in his method.

I'm just cautious about the hype. The defense was porous when Martin would take breathers and I'm a bit skeptical that a true freshman DT could help to solidify a defense. Come to think of it, when was the last time any true freshman DT had an impact in the Big Ten? |
