Anthony Zettels first visit is to the Big House for the Big CHILL!!!!

"The only one I have officially planned right now is Michigan for the hockey game (Dec. 10)," Zettel reported. "It's supposed to be pretty big and should be fun. I talked to Jake [Fisher] and I know he's going that weekend.

Michigan, Iowa, Penn State and Michigan State have emerged at the top of Zettel's list over the last few months, with another couple schools hanging around on the outside of that group. The four-star prospect explained the status of his favorites Sunday evening.

"It's kind of close between all four of them," Zettel said. "I'd still say I'm concentrating on Michigan more than everybody and they are a slight leader, but they are all pretty close to even.

So as long as we pull out the win its looking very promising he will make the right decision and come the Maize n Blue

Thanks for sharing this. As I noted in the other thread, hopefully he looks at all parts of UM and not just our W-L record. He is a huge UM fan, so at least that is going for us. The Big Chill should be a great event for him to have fun and see that UM is a great fit for him.

Isn't there someone else that is visiting for The Big Chill? I can't remember for some odd reason.

I fail to see how the result of a hockey game could influence the ultimate decision of a football player.

Recruiting motivation for the Big Chill is hockey players going "Wow, Michigan can get 110,000 people at a hockey game and they can beat the crap out of their in-state rival that is also recruiting me while doing it".

People seem to think recruiting is some sort of exercise in rationale thought: is the football team winning? is there playing time available for me? etc.

Recruits talk about "feel" "coaches" "academics" "facilities" "campus" and a lot of other things more often than they talk about the depth chart.  Then theres the stuff that they don't talk about publically like how hot the girls are and how much fun they're going to have.

Bottomline: being on campus, having fun there, bonding with other potential recruits...this stuff matters more than seeing the Illinois game score on sportscenter.
