Actually he bailed himself out. He spent maybe 6 hours in jail, max. You’re far more likely to get arrested if it’s believed you have the money to bail yourself out. Even if found not guilty, that bail money is gone.
I don’t think you understand how bail works. It’s motivation to show up to court so you get the money back.
You do realize he’s a former NBA player? He posted bail so he doesn’t have to sit in jail forever. I’m sure he could care less about the money that will disappear as it will cost him plenty more to defend himself even if found innocent. It seems that showing up to stay out of jail far outweighs whatever amount he had to post. He was in jail for two days though, so it was longer than I thought.
I think you are confusing bail with fees for bonds.

Yeah it’s an odd story for sure. It sounds like things were under control but then he fired shots, then he was arrested but no charges filed on the people who came in the house. It says they were looking at houses, did his house actually have a for sale sign out front? Very very odd circumstances and incomplete details.

Other than some police officers and people in a war zone, have you ever heard of someone firing a gun at another person who was not mentally unbalanced? I own some guns, but short of a Charles Bronson Death Wish type of scenario or zombies, there is a zero percent chance I'm going to shoot someone.
Brown was actually one of the most complete players Izzo has ever had and sent to the NBA. He even came in talented and actually got better, unlike the rest of Izzos high level recruits who seem to get worse over time.
