Angelique, from Hackett: Athletic Dept deficit much lower than anticipated

Hackett told the Regents the department had a projected deficit of $7.9 million, but six weeks later told The News that because of unforeseen positive outcomes, that deficit, the first the department has had in more than a decade, would be decreased.

I had to chuckle at "unforeseen positive outcomes" as a phrase with regard to the athletic department. Yeah, I would say that this is a nice summary way to put some of the things that I have transpired.
