He's gritty as hell and I love his fire. It's what got him to UM in the first place. I was kind of surprised he ended up in the class given his size, but I'm a fan of the kid. Best of luck to him.

An undersized kid with an oversized heart.
There was talk of him transferring last year and he said he was all in. Then got passed by McBurrows and would likely slip behind Johnson and Jones.
He has speed and talent just not a lot of length. I would not be surprised to see him start for another major program.

I think there may still be some attrition at CB but the new staff seems to prefer a safety-type at the nickel (provided they have the athleticism) so I think we would be pretty well covered even with 1 or 2 additional departures.
Also - iirc - the staff just needs to get down to 85 for the winter semester (departures just need to offset the EEs) so we may not see further attrition until Spring ball completes and depth charts become more apparent -- all 3 2022 CB commits are Early Enrollees I believe.

Yeah, I'm not going to speculate on certain players here, but I wouldn't be surprised to see another 2-3 CBs to look elsewhere.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie - I assumed this was going to happen basically all year. It just seemed like he wasn't likely to see the field given the guys who passed him.
I wish him luck wherever he lands; he's definitely got talent but his size likely hinders him a bit at the major P5 level.

Maybe because he was an undersized true freshman last year and the coaches had other players in front of him?

In 2020 he was a true freshman who hadn't really gotten much of a camp due to COVID so it's not a surprise he didn't enter the conversation. Then this year cornerback was pretty good and his size limitations likely hurt his ability to break in. I do think he'll wind up somewhere because his raw speed is hard to find and he's got a pedigree.

Figured this. Saw him tweet something the other day that sounded like he wasn’t happy (being overlooked for his size) and saw his profile didn’t have any 〽️ references. I wonder if DGW also leaves since he also didn’t play this year at a position in need of players to improve.
