Don't think that's on Fielder, Pena is running full sprint when Fielder let that go. He risks throwing it into the dugout if he puts it on the bag and Pena doesn't get there.

someone needs to be canned for this tire fire of a lineup. This is effing pathetic baserunning and hitting. Leyland needs to bench Prince. I don't care if it harms his ego. screw that. Prince is $27M hole in the lineup.

I think there will be multiple changes this off-season if we don't win it all. Leyland may be one of them but other questions loom such as left field, do you re-sign Infante and/or Peralta who are free agents, and can we get Scherzer signed long term before he hits the free agent market after 2014???

I'm not so great on the inner workings of baseball but I know Scherzer is arbitration eligible after this year (I think). Also Boras doesn't let his players sign deals before theirs are up so he can drive up the price in free agency.

I don't think Leyland needs to go unless he shows a willingness to get rid of some of his staff. Lloyd McClennden cannot fix problems in hitters.

Tigers better bring their big boy pants to Boston. They should have won this series by now and instead, they are on the brink of elimination. That said, Scherzer/Bucholz and Verlander/Lackey are HUGE advantages to Detroit so they need to actually take advantage of them!

a guy who has averaged 30+ home runs in his career is as likely to put a good swing on the ball, as you and Kate Upton. Of course, you are the same guy who was wondering why a guy with 3.50 ERA wasn't closing over a guy with a 2.00 ERA.

And here is the newsflash for people, other than V-Mart everybody is struggling in this series, not just Prince. Are you going to bench everybody?

can stop making nonsensical posts any time. Instead of doing that you could actually try to counter my points. Also pot meet kettle, I am not the one suggesting I know better than the Tigers about who should be closing and who should be in the lineup.

Cabrera running into an out, the DP's hit into and Sanchez's wild pitch were more costly than anything Prince did, focusing on only Fielder makes no sense.

that wild pitch that cost them a run? Did he hit into every single one of those double plays?  Did he run through a stop sign at 3rd to prematurely end an inning? Prince deserves blame for not playing well, but to put all the blame on him when it is team game is absurd. The lineup as whole (with the exception of V-Mart) is having issues against good pitching in this series, it is not just him.

Also could you try criticizing his play rather than resorting to personal insults. It really isn't that hard.

Koji's having an amazing series, but it looked to me like that last picture was high and maybe inside. Wish Iglesias had let it go by.
