ACE: Quick Update on '13 OL Logan Tuley-Tillman

Submitted by Ace on

Just texted briefly with Logan Tuley-Tillman—a 6'7", 275-pound 2013 OL recruit from Peoria (IL) Manuel with early offers from Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri—about his recent visits to Michigan. Logan was here for both the Nebraska and Ohio State games, and said he "never had an experience like it." He's now got the Wolverines in his top five with Mizzou, Oregon, Boise State, and Illinois. Here's his film (warning: RAWK):

I should have more from Tuley-Tillman coming soon—he wasn't able to talk on the phone tonight, and interviewing by text isn't ideal, but I should be able to catch up with him in the near future.

Wow, looks great and if those stats a legit I'd really like him to stay interested!  Plus, we'll still need Oline help next year, this class won't fix the problem.

If this guy ends up committing to Michigan, eventually, we're calling him The Sickness.

I like his tenacity. He seems to have something of a mean streak. I also like that he finishes his blocks. Looking forward to what he has to say when you talk to him.

Good feet and good at getting to the 2nd level. Tell him he needs to work on his punch it will help him to get more separation instead of catching. Oh yeah, also to Go Blue of course.

I really like what I see. Has an agression and you can easily tell he goes until the echo of the whistle. Some fundamental improvements are needed it looks like, but the kid is only a junior right now. Hopefully he can get an offer from us fairly soon.

I used to coach high school football at Manual (note: not Manuel). The area has a fairly strong basketball bias, and there isn't a great youth football support system.  As such, many of Manual's athletes are very raw football players. This is exacerbated by Manual drawing from low-income neighborhoods with little parental support.  I don't know this player specifically, but it might be reasonable to think he'll be a bit more of a project.
