Aaron Scott (CB from Springfield, OH) Tweeting Still Confused On College Decision
I didn't see this posted on the board yet, and recruiting news has been a touch slow this week, but I have seen two articles (one Michigan and one OSU) talking about how CB Aaron Scott has been tweeting that he is still undecided and confused on which school to pick. Many believe it's a battle between Michigan and OSU (with his dad being a super OSU fan), but Oregon was the childhood favorite.

While this might not be the most breaking news, he is still planning on committing on 7/30, his dad's birthday. I imagine most here think there is no way he announces Michigan on his dad's birthday, but many OSU fans are unsure and feel like he will end up in A2. With the timeline, I have a hard time thinking it will be Michigan, but you're telling me there's a chance.
I can only imagine the pressure he is feeling in all directions. Hope he's blue.
Hopefully the recruiting service clowns don't jump the gun and let the kid have his moment.
I hope they spoil it in advance. His “confusion” is weak
Don't get the feeling this is genuine---the UM fans in his replies are like putty in his hands.
Since he spelled man Mann and that's my name, and I'm a Springfield Ohio native, he has to pick Michigan. Right? RIGHT? Unfortunately, I don't believe the "confusion" for a minute.
Buckeye.
Username and comment checks out.
If he lived in Indiana he would be committed to Michigan, but he is in Ohio and has too much pressure to stay home. Good luck to him at OSU even though I think it's clear that's not where his heart is telling him to go.
Zach Harrison was this exact same situation and I expect it to play out the exact same way.
Including doing nothing in multiple losses to Michigan in the future.... Please.
Even though its his dads birthday and he's a big osucks fan he would still wear Michigan gear if his son chose to go north, right? Any proud father would I think. It wouldn't be the first time thats happened.
Sam Webb said the dad spoke on this. Basically said he would root for his son in 11 of the 12 games in the regular season but would root against him big time when playing OSU. I think this was in the last MGoBlog Roundtables.
Says a hell of a lot more about the father than the son. I hope that was a tongue in cheek moment.
Of all the approaches to parenting and supporting your kids, that... is one of them.
This is just a way for him to get more attention.
he is going to OSU. No one commits on his dad’s birthday to the arch rival of his dad’s favorite school. Especially if you live in Ohio.
I will be “SHOCKED” when he chooses OSU.
Just wait... He will change the date.
Total bait
Unless there's a Crystal Ball signaling something other than Ohio State, he's going to OSU.
This is all just trolling.
It reminds me a bit of when Mike Weber chose OSU, but he kept insisting he was undecided even as his coach asked him why he chose Ohio State.
Just imagine... IF he commits to Michigan on his dad's birthday!!!!!
Family response to recruitment by a rival always fascinates me. In some states, the reaction is... how could you do this? In others, its.. we wish him well, but we bleed xx and xx.
In Michigan, somehow, if the family was all Michigan fans, the family tends to say.. we want what is best for him and its his choice, and the shlub goes to ND or OSU or whatever half the time.
Culture? Upbringing? Too anecdotal? Just seems like kids who grew up UM fans aren't locked in as UM guarantees the way Ohio, Louisiana, Bama kids tend to be
This probably sounds sanctimonious, but I call it "maturity and perspective."
I have a daughter who plays competitive softball. In the end, she went to a non-B1G school, but there was a time when Michigan State was on her short list.
I was a little taken aback when people would ask "what are you going to do when she plays against Michigan??"
Right? You pull for your kid every single time, no questions asked.
If Michael Corleone can break his father's heart on his birthday, why cant Aaron Scott?
Wow ... just wow. Bravo sir. I have but one upvote to give.
What’d you go to college just to get stupid?!
He gone.... ok technically he was never here but you get the point.
Sounds like he should just delay and go to whoever wins The Game this year. Seems fair.
I will respect the result of the duel.
I wrote this recruitment off when he moved it to his dad's birthday but it is possible he just needed more time. I do believe his feelings are genuine and not just for attention. Speculating that without proof is pretty sad.
Pros for UM: Development, Scheme, Clink, only CB in the class.
It would be epic if he gave his dad U of M gear for his birthday!
I can't wait for his dad to open up his birthday present and pull out a block M hat!
I’m putting this at 60% OSU, 39% Oregon and 1% Michigan. If him and his Dad can’t care it’ll be Oregon. However, let’s shock the world!
Also, just wait 48 hours before the decision and see where the prediction are at then.
Tweeting? You mean, uh, X-ing?
Aaron Scott isn't fooling anyone. Just ignore him. He's trolling for attention.
My guess is he's going to ohio.
I think he picks the good guys, but he could’ve made his announcement on any day, yet he choose his dad’s birthday. It’s either the obvious choice or an amazing troll job. Like a sucker, I’m going with the troll option.
He’s not going to give the man who raised him, who also happens to be a massive OSU a fan, the biggest “fuck you” in the world by committing to Michigan on the man’s birthday.
I’d say it’s more likely that he pulls a complete wild card and goes to Oregon than him ending up at Michigan.
Come home to Michigan, Aaron...
We've all been there...
The decision between something unexpected, intriguing, new, controversial and the thing we know in our gut is what we'll ultimately pick. We just haven't committed to it yet. The possibility of the alternative is hard to let go.
Ohio State lock.
