What can be said??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 19th, 2018 at 8:43 AM ^
I have an idea...
December 19th, 2018 at 8:57 AM ^
Wasn't there a thread recently to sacrifice you?
December 19th, 2018 at 9:01 AM ^
It worked!
December 19th, 2018 at 8:42 AM ^
And OSU down to 15. This Dax flip was a big net gain, with Battle flipping to Bama.
December 19th, 2018 at 10:09 AM ^
This makes me skeptical of the team rankings. When Hill de-committed we went out of the top ten-- so when one top guy comes back to the class the whole class goes from outside the top ten all the way to #6?
December 19th, 2018 at 10:41 AM ^
That didn't include Johnson or Solomon I think.
December 19th, 2018 at 10:53 AM ^
Rankings factor in quantity and OSU has a small class this year. Their average/recruit rating is again higher than most - including ours. The down side: with a small class, they return a ton talent - especially both of those monster 2017 & 2018 classes. While I'm enjoying our signing day success, I also want to be realistic.

If ZH changes his mind and chooses Blue, Day is not going to have a good Day.
December 19th, 2018 at 8:44 AM ^
Should be enough to beat OSU's class. This is our first OSU victory for JH over OSU with Day. Hopefully it transfers to the field and shifts the balance of power back a bit.

Feels like saying that we won a pregame warmup. We need to have more points at the end of the fourth quarter.
December 19th, 2018 at 8:52 AM ^
Last time Michigan won a pregame warm up, the score ended up 21-7.
December 19th, 2018 at 11:52 AM ^
Let's not forget this. One of the best moments of this season.
December 19th, 2018 at 11:26 AM ^
Thank you, Mr. Dierdorf
December 19th, 2018 at 12:07 PM ^
At this point I'll take anything. When is the last time we had a higher class ranking? Even the few years we did 1) varied depending on service you used and 2) was by one class ranking. The last time we had a class 10 spots higher than them was like '06. I wouldn't underestimate that.
December 19th, 2018 at 9:43 AM ^
Moral victories are fine, but remember this is Day's transition class. It's small but filled with elite guys. Compare that to Harbaugh's transition class.
December 19th, 2018 at 9:56 AM ^
This is a pretty bad comparison. Most of Day’s recruits are Urban’s. Plus Urban is retiring after winning the Big Ten and barely missing out on the playoffs. Plus Day was named the HC in early Dec. Plus Day is a college coach and was already recruiting. Harbaugh took over for Hoke who finished 5-7, was just coming from the NFL, and was hired on Dec. 30th. Of course Days transition class will be better.
December 19th, 2018 at 10:40 AM ^
The only reason we are above OSU is because of class size. Their class is still far better in terms of average ranking.
December 19th, 2018 at 12:13 PM ^
Far better? Do you consider two tenths of a point far better (.90 vs .92)? Even if you did your logic assumes they could sign 10 more guys of equal rating.
It would be more similar to compare our top 13 guys to their 13 signees. They have 13 guys signed so far and their lowest ranked guy is currently Cormontae Hamilton at .8687 (247). Our 13th guy is David Ojabo at .8998.

A quick Sparty update:
Say what you want against Scum, but they are doing something right, just got Hill back from Bama...they are in another league than we are when it comes to recruiting...
Meanwhile we lose a guy to Rutgers, can’t ckose a guy from Kentucky, GA Tech, and Illinois...that’s the state of the program right now...sad but true
December 19th, 2018 at 8:58 AM ^
The Sparty BPONE probably smells like Axe
December 19th, 2018 at 9:44 AM ^
It smells like spray tan, Axe, and butt.
December 19th, 2018 at 11:57 AM ^
And the tears taste like flat Bud Light drawn from a day-old pony keg abandoned in Cedar Village.
December 19th, 2018 at 8:58 AM ^
Sparty tears still taste like Sugar.
December 19th, 2018 at 9:03 AM ^
LOL who did they lose to Rutgers??
December 19th, 2018 at 9:06 AM ^
Sounds like their top RB recruit, Aaron Young, is flipping to Rutgers.
December 19th, 2018 at 9:07 AM ^
Oh that’s just great
December 19th, 2018 at 10:42 AM ^
This really warms my heart. At least it seems that natural order has been restored as to Sparty. Now we just need to beat OSU more than fucking once per decade.
December 19th, 2018 at 8:50 AM ^
B1G or bust, I thought you said Ryan Day owns Michigan.
Wrong again! Go blue!
December 19th, 2018 at 9:00 AM ^
Paging Shawn to chime in on this one-- can we just ban the guy already? The last week of this board has been a hellscape with all the hawt takes of negativity
December 19th, 2018 at 9:03 AM ^
Such a huge get. Exact type of player Michigan has lacked since...don't even know. And exactly what the team needs to compete with OSU's athletes on offense.
Now, if just one of Long and Hill could be convinced to stay one more year....
December 19th, 2018 at 9:03 AM ^
UM doesn't need the #1 or #2 class to win but it does need to be in the top 10 every year if it wants to knock off OSU and compete in the playoffs.
December 19th, 2018 at 9:48 AM ^
Correct.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:23 PM ^
Really stoked about this class! I was thinking the last game would cost us on recruiting. But with Michigan sending D guys pro its a great draw for talent. Now if we see greater passing % out of the offense, perhaps JH keeps the recruits coming!
