2024 CFP Tickets
Does anybody here know where one can buy 2024 CFP tickets now or the next month or so. My goal is to be prepared in case I have need of them in January, and if the wrong teams are playing I can just sell them, since I will have bought them early for a reasonable price rather than last minute from a 4th hand scalper for the price of a new car.

Info for 2024 available soon per https://collegefootballplayoff.com/sports/2018/9/25/cfp-tickets.aspx
Seems the RSVP program is what you'd want. Chance at face value tix if your team makes it, no obligation if they don't.
Not true… you are buying rights to purchase the ticket if they win. If they make it you pay the fee plus face value, if they do not make it you are out what you paid for the rights.

I already purchased mine -- for both semifinals, since I don't know where we'll be playing.
Bought them from the same guy who sold me the Brooklyn Bridge.

I assume you got a great deal…

Wait, you can't buy that bridge. I own it.
No, all of you are doing this wrong. You have to get in on the ground level - buy one abutment, then expand on that with subsequent investment.
From your lips to God's ears. Probably not a bad investment if they were available. If I were to buy tickets early, it would likely cause the football gods to act in ways that were not favorable to my team.
I fucking hate being superstitious.

Anyone know where I can buy Lions super bowl tickets?
April 13th, 2023 at 12:14 PM ^
Yeah the same place you can get Reds World Series tickets.

You clearly are in need of a history lesson...

I turned on the Tigers game last night in the bottom of the ninth inning. No need to worry about World Series tickets this year.
Well aware of my team's history. I took the comment to mean where do I buy future Lions Super Bowl tickets since the OP is about where to buy future CFP tickets. Thus my response. The future Lions Super Bowl tickets and the future Reds World Series tickets are available at the same place. No fucking where.

Hey three World Series Titles in my lifetime and the 76 team probably one of the best teams ever. And I met Rob Dibble while playing for the Cedar Rapids Reds back in the day... he was a mean pool player and great beer drinker...

Is this what being an Alabama fan feels like?
Combine this with a story out of Penthouse Family Secrets and you'll pretty much have it

Does anyone know where I can find a red 1967 Chevy Impala in mint condition? I tried downloading and then printing the entire Internet, but apparently that's impossible...
It's not impossible, I did it once. But then it fucking changed.

Thanks for the jinx. We're screwed now.

The last time I tried to buy post season tickets in advance was back when I was in the Army, I was going to take leave around Christmas and go to the Rose Bowl, instead I got orders to go to Italy, that was in 1997.

That worked out for the rest of us. Could you try that again?
I went to the 98 Rose Bowl.... must have gotten your tickets.
Thanks 👍

It honestly could, I arrived at the barracks just in time for the Michigan Penn State Game, a guy was like come watch in my room bro, if your ok with the shit your going to get after we stomp that ass. Well we beat Penn State that night and me and that guy never really talked after that.
This time around the daughter is trying to take leave around Christmas from the Coast Guard and the oldest son should be back from Syria and the wife wants to do a holiday vacation… so the Military may indirectly screw me out of seeing another Michigan National Championship.
Penn State looks to be a monster again this season as well.

Image someone from this board in 2020 reading this post and immediately having a stroke.

I imagine I can image that.
I sold my tickets to some TCU fan for a hell of a lot more than I paid for them. After the cost of wings and beer I had just enough money to walk out back to the hot tub to forget about WTF I had just watched. The next day I went and bought that new car you were talking about.
Anyone know if the Michigan hotel in Indy will be the Marriott again?
Yes. The JW Marriott was explicitly built to host the teams for the events.
The sweet, child-like innocence of Michigan fans
Only new ones.
This website allows you to buy the right to buy a ticket for the playoffs at varying market prices.

I had a guaranteed ticket for the national championship had we gone at face value but was only out the 100 or so bucks I spent to get it when THAT happened.
Even their market doesn't open up until mid to late summer.
Actual Detroit Free Press Headline this morning:
"Mistakes, blunders, and brain farts: Tigers look like a Little League team".
As you can tell from the satire playoff tickets are not available. You won't see them pop up until the end of the summer. And even then the vast majority are saved for the universities that get in to sell.
Collegefootballplayoff.com (official site) says that information on the random drawing for the limited number of tickets that will be available to the public will be released some time this spring.
PACK YOUR BAGS
1. Michigan
2. Georgia
UNLESS SOMETHING WEIRD HAPPENS
3. Alabama
You just saved a shitload of time on HTTV. No need for it now.
OP,
'since I will have bought them early for a reasonable price'
does not exist in the 4-team CFP universe. The best chance is to enter the pay-to-play lottery, where you fork out 'X' dollars for the right to buy face-value tix should your team make it (and forfeit the chance and cash if not). Michigan will be an expensive 'X' this year as well. Also, those tickets (coming from 3 people I know who have done this the last 2 years) end up being ~$450+ nosebleeds. Between corporate sponsorships, team allotment, stadium club seat earmarks for season ticketholders etc etc - there will be no such thing as a reasonable/face value price for Mr. Average Joe.
Admittedly most people don't have the nerve to wait like I do but I bought tickets to both Semifinals games the past 2 years under cost day of the game.
