  • Toledo is unanimously regarded to be the best team in the MAC.
  • My OU Bobcats and their hated rival are expected to compete for the East division.
  • You know it’s expected to be a rough year for the Michigan schools when EMU is the highest-ranked.
  • If we use the rankings to create a "Bottom 25", seven MAC schools make the list and a couple others are in “also receiving votes.”

There needs to be a separate division for G5 conferences apart from power 5. So dumb that these teams compete for the same championship as Michigan, OSU, Georgia etc.

That game was so fun.
I went to that one.

I tailgated with some friends/neighbors that are MSU alums/fans
I remember talking with a couple of them that were hoping it was more competitive than week 1, but didn't really see how it would be.

"Have you guys heard of Dan LeFevour?"
-blank stare-
"I think its going to be a good game"

After the game, we were leaving the parking lot right around the time Michigan scored to go up 7-0 (I think, though it could have been right after the Stonum kick return touchdown to go up 14-3)
I felt that was pretty pertinent information for the spartan fans around us to hear.
They did not agree.

With all of this B1G expansion at a hyper rate, I vote the MSU Spartans to the MAC. They'll at least be in contention for a MAC title plus a bowl game guarantee post season.

(LOL) Does the B1G really need them?

Speaking from experience EMU is the place working class kids who didn’t have the grades or money to go to UM go.

There is a vocal minority among EMU alums who are really, really irritated by this. I have gotten into heated arguments over my dual support.

Michigan football is something I grew up with my dad. It’s means more to me than football alone. It’s a family tradition. Some people don’t understand that people can form deep attachments to a college program without having gone to said school.

I take a lot of joy from EMU’s recent success, but nothing comes close to when Michigan has success. I love the program unabashedly. No other team comes close.
