2020 UM Commit Braiden McGregor out for the season

As reported by 247. Apparently he tore his MCL, PCL, and meniscus. He's expected to have surgery next week and is still expected to enroll early, so should be good to get him rehabbing with the Michigan staff.

I saw him play in Friday nights game. His performance was one of the strangest things I’ve seen.  He was talking to the refs literally after every play.  He was playing middle linebacker most of the night and giving what looked like a 40% effort.  Most of the good things he did came as a TE/ wideout.

Apologies for the comment earlier...I was busy working and shouldn’t have been posting irresponsibly :-)

Totally on the Michigan S&C staff. Back when we had (insert your choice here) we didn't have all these high school injuries.

Also - work on your sarcasm detector. It will make your stay here ever so much more enjoyable.

Actually I don't think McGregor would have contributed immediately. We lose no one on the edges next year except for Danna. On top of that, you can hopefully add Welschof and Upshaw as 3rd year guys who start to get some playing time. And possibly Vilain who should be better a year removed from his injuries. McGregor is talented, but he's also focused on multiple positions over his HS year and so will need to work on some more pass rush moves before he's playing.

This sucks. If he’s not 100% to start fall camp, I wonder if they consider playing him starting late October 2020 for 4 games and redshirt.

I feel bad for him because despite what some say I feel you're never the same.  Just my experience

Wish a speedy recovery for this young man. If there is a silver lining, its that the PCL is more easily recovered from than an ACL in terms of getting your agility and burst back
