Completely agree. This has been a great CFB weekend. So many upsets. Four of the top ten lost. Standofrd still playing, but they look to be in control.

3 of the top five lost, I can't remember crazier shit happening. I know I'm in the minority, but this is why I love the BCS, cause all these upsets are huge deal. If there was an 8 or 16 team playoff, a lot of the losses would be...oh well, that's okay, let's gear up for the playoff.

I completely agree.  People complain a lot about the BCS, but at the same time it is this madness that people love.  With the current format, nobody can rest because every game means everything for your season.  With a playoff this might not be true, because a loss for a top team wouldn't knock them all the way out of a 16 team playoff.

If you think home-field advantage isn't worth playing for.  NFL teams would beg to differ as they don't stop caring until they have their seed locked up not just a spot in the playoffs.  As it stands right now, if we had a playoff, there would still be absolutely no certainty in either 1) who is going to be in the playoff or 2) who has home field advantage.  LSU/Arkansas would have an inside track to the #1 overall seed, Bama (at best) would be a 7 seed since they can't even win their own division, Oregon and OSU (NTOSU)/OU would be playing for the other seed in the playoffs with the winner out of the game.

If anything the playoffs would make things MORE interesting as next week there's really only one game that matters in terms of the national championship and that's LSU/Arkansas. If we had a playoff there would be at least 4 and beyond that the week after that, championship week, teams would be playing a do-or-die game to get into the playoffs at all.  Yeah, that sounds totally boring.

In theory a playoff sounds like the solution, but (from a fan's perspective) I don't think the product would be any better.  Having more 'interesting' games doesn't necessarily mean it would be better... it could dilute the meaning of those games, especially if you are playing for the 16th rank knowing you're probably going to get beat up by a #1.

I don't mean to get into a debate about the BCS.  Until something actually changes, I will be content with the way it is...

This sets us up nicely to make a push up in the rankings and a possible BCS At-Large berth.  If we destroy ohio next week and get some help with other upsets it's a strong possibility.  I really enjoyed watching games tonight though.  I started out with FSU wide left, then went to Oregon wide left, then continued on to RG III doing denardian impressions.  I really think LSU/BAMA are the two best teams right now and would be a great NC even though I can't stand the SEC.  it could get ugly though if Arkansas beats LSU.  it will be a great final weekend.  Are we there yet?

Followed by the most screwed, up nonsensical BCS reranking ever. Michigan should jump ahead of several teams with a ranked win as opposed to unranked home losses, but I can't wait to see how bad they mess this up (got money on them putting 7-3 Baylor over 8-2 PSU)

Except for the endless Gerber Life College Plan commercials where everyone says "Oh' before starting their sentence...  Then there's the Pitbull "Let's have a real good time" Dr. Pepper commercials...  I rewind those, put the volume on blast, and drive my wife nuts with them.  That is one creepy dude.  Otherwise, an awesome CFB weekend in terms of crazy results and UM re-emergence!!!

Great weekend, except for the fact that it is more probable than not that we will see an all SEC championship game. Lsu and Bama are both phenomenal, but I really don't want to see them play again

it seems every year we declare a given weekend the very best of the season on a sunday, only to be surprised the next weekend.

i really, really doubt it gets any better than this, but you never know.  here's to hoping i'm wrong.
