Hopefully our OL will be bigger overall this year and we will use an actual FB instead of a converted RB on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and Goal from the 1. I could definitely see that helping us.

Does anyone know where he got his data from or where I can get numbers like that from? I would be interested in seeing how we ranked in reaching the red zone and such.

.... but I still don't understand why we didn't have Grady as the heavy tailback for the short yardage "and goal" plays, with Moundros in at fullback (think 2nd, 3rd and 4th down at Illinois). Sure he fumbled (was stripped) at ND in '08, in the pouring rain, and had off season issues keeping up with class, voluntary practice, and legal commitments, but a the choice between a Carlos Brown, a banged up Minor, and Kevin Grady seemed like an obvious choice to me.

Was Moundros injured or something? Seems like he didn't get a lot of game time last year.

Again, Michigan finished the season with the 3rd best scoring offense in the conference (and yes, we all know that includes Delaware State, blah, blah, blah) and 41st overall in the country, and they managed that with easily one of the worst red zone performances of any team in the nation, let alone the conference.

gives me confidence that we'll see our "Great Leap Forward" for the offense this year.  Hopefully it turns out better than the historical "Great Leap Forward".
