WTKA Roundtable 11/10/2022: A Taxonomy of Bad Guys Comment Count

Seth November 10th, 2022 at 11:34 AM

Things discussed:

  • The Rutgers game: Is the passing game coming along? Defense: just a handful of breakdowns and a grind down. Need more help from the WRs.
  • Running games are more consistent than long passing games; low-variance option getting 7 ypa is going to hold up better than 2 long pass plays on 3rd and long.
  • Rutgers had a good gameplan.
  • Donovan Edwards had a game. He's rounding into a star now. Vision is great, receiving is A+ for a receiver. Needs to get to be 75% of Corum as a pass blocker to be a complete back.
  • McCarthy: Great throw, shoulda made an easier throw to another guy.
  • Illinois: got unlucky to fall into MSU's strength. Ohio State-Northwestern: there's a certain lack of toughness to them, but they can kill us in a track meet.
  • Tom Izzo is sick of being the bad guys.

I don't think these things are mutually exclusive; you can be a Trotskyite neanderthal butthole guy.
