MICHIGAN INJURY REPORT

For the Eastern Michigan game on Saturday, Sept. 19:

Out:

Tim McAvoy (knee)

David Moosman (shoulder)

Probable (75% chance of playing):

Junior Hemingway (ankle)

In addition, head coach Rich Rodriguez announced the game captains for the noon game against Eastern Michigan: wide receiver Jon Conover, defensive end Brandon Graham, kicker Jason Olesnavage and wide receiver LaTerryal Savoy.

[Cissoko, Minor good to go then. Pretty healthy so far, knock on wood.]

Captains are leaders, whether they play or not. Conover probably works hard in practice, does everything right off the field and has the respect of his teammates.

Who will back him up? I hope he heals quickly, even though Michigan is deep on the o-line he has a great deal of experience. You can't buy that kind of stuff. Get better quickly Moosman the team needs you!!!

Anyone know...how bad is McAvoy's knee? He played a bit last year and had some nice blocks. Whenever I see his name, I think of Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy for some odd reason.

Hemingway and Minor would be limited to a half because of the huge lead the team would have by then. I would like to see those two very well rested for the start of B10 play and more importantly the MSU game looming. Plus I want to see some of the young guys get some P.T. (even younger than they guys we already have playing if there is such a thing) as well as Denard with some significant P.T. Might be a good day for him to work on his throwing and running the offense for several series not just a play here or there.

Injury reports.... Just contrast this with Carr's reluctance to discuss injuries of any kind.... wow. 'cuse me while my mind explodes just a bit. Did RichRod issue these reports last season?

Who is Jon Conover? but the other captains make sense and I hope I see Graham make some big plays this week. As for the injury report Hemingway, Moosman, and McAvoy should stay out for the next two week to get ready for the State game unless they are 100% ready to go. Anybody see that Tate Forcier got voted as the All-American Player of the Week this week. I just seen that watching the Miami game. Pretty neat on how much people are really starting to notice him.

Actually guys, John Conover is a friend of mine. He's the same age as me (senior) and we've had class together and worked on projects. He's a really nice guy, good academics, and busts his ass on the football team. As far as I know, he has played on special teams. He must be a real leader in the gym and lockerroom. I'm glad to see him get to be a game captain.

They moved Huge to RG and put Dorrestein at RT? Maybe the battle between Huyge and Omameh wasn't that close after all. Unless they moved Omameh to the left side and I missed it. I guess it would make sense to get him used to the left side if they have high expectations, since they're going to need a LT next year.

Eastern we can deal with. I want them 100% to kick the crap out of little brother and Penn State and all. Is that way too confident? I think games like this are the ones where even a 75% chance to go person could sit out and heal up some more.
