Denard is amazing! People aren't hating RR now. Michigan is being built from the ground up. I like this new model of the Wolverines. Undefeated seasons are coming soon. A healthy, deep Michigan team will be hard to beat. I bet Michigan goes to a bowl this season and annihilates whoever they play. RR has to coach up the team for the Big Ten season. |
| 2 years 39 weeks ago | I'm glad to see Michigan Ascending! |
I'm glad to see Michigan ascending up in the polls. Fans must temper expectations because this team is so young. I expect to see back to back champions soon. Those are my tempered expectations. I told fans on this sight that they need to give RR a chance, and he will produce a juggernaut. This team is in the early birth pangs bringing forth something special. I now understand why people don't want the Michigan/RR joining to occur. It is based on fear of another Michigan dynasty in CFB. I think it is coming, and may be here now. I want fans to be patient, even now, because this product is not complete yet. Imagine a shifty, fast, pass catching Dee Hart on the read option. It will be nice to see Michigan surprise some teams this year too. It will happen. With Molk, Martin, DRob, Schilling, etc., Michigan's team leadership is outstanding. This team will go far! "It is a diamond in the rough." |
| 2 years 40 weeks ago | The Patience Is Denarded! |
Fans have been waiting, and waiting for this. RR waited for an athelete to lead this team. He is here now! He is a good player, positive and a team player. Fast as Sonic the Hedgehog, Denard is. Wow I sound like Yoda. It is great to be a Michigan Wolverine. |
| 2 years 40 weeks ago | Michigan Turns the Corner! |
I like this team! They are young and they are hungry. That guy we are not suppose the talk about is a warrior. I hope he stays healthy. I was at the game, I was impressed by the stadium and the festivities. Whoever thinks RR can't coach is an idiot. I see growth, and a great deal of youth. Michigan should be a championship team in a few years. Expect mistakes and maybe a few losses. Know this the Wolverines are climbing out of the hole. |

| 2 years 45 weeks ago | What a difference a few years |
What a difference a few years makes. Many in the UM Nation so adamantly wanted Les Miles in order to keep Bo's legacy going. I wonder if fans understand that RR was hired by Coleman and Martin to take Michigan in another direction, to create another legacy? I think Michigan fans will be glad for RR one day. The last two years will be ancient history. |
| 2 years 45 weeks ago | I know! |
He almost sounded like a Wolverine. There must be a hole in the fabric of space-time. What is next a buckeye saddened about UM's last two seasons? |
| 2 years 46 weeks ago | I am optimistic!! |
Michigan is going to improve, and will struggle with the better teams. The Wolverines could win as few as seven games and as many as 10 games. They will probably win somewhere inbetween that. Michigan will kick MSU's stinky green buttock. They will beat ND, but it will be close. Iowa and PSU will be tough games. OSU could be Michigan's to win if they play a flawless game. I think this is a year for happy surprises at Michigan. UM has more depth and experience that will translate into more wins. |
| 2 years 48 weeks ago | For those of you still playing the "star rating game" |
This kid is going to gain weight for sure. He is atheletic, with good feet and has a nasty streak. The weight is easy to gain, especially in a year and a half. Remember RR's lineman must block in space. They do not clump to make walls flesh all the time. This kid is a perfect fit for the spread. Stop thinking about Michigan getting typical "pro" style lineman or players. That is why star ratings are not as high for them. The ratings are based on pro style weights and measures. Get your head around it. Michigan is a Spread Team now! Go Blue Jake! |
| 2 years 48 weeks ago | Welcome Mr. Jake Fisher! |
I was really hoping for a committment from someone this week. Fisher is a good football player. This is a good commit for RR and Michigan. Go Blue Jake! |
| 2 years 48 weeks ago | Pace is about academics! |
I don't know if anyone noticed, but Pace is a really bright and goal oriented. His final three schools (UM, Northwestern, Stanford) indicated that he is about academics too. His goals were long term. "We set this goal of winning the state championship in 7th grade". These are good qualities for a center. |
| 2 years 50 weeks ago | Miller is Versitile! |
I like this commit too. This kid has speed, strength, and savy. Miller will be a DE sack master or a road grader on the OL. At '6 '4 he could be a TE too. Ahhhh! Versitility! |
| 2 years 50 weeks ago | Soccer Footwork! |
If Sousa played soccer he probably has great footwork and stamina. He has time to develop and get coached up. I like this commit. |
| 2 years 51 weeks ago | Spot On Review! |
I agree wholeheartly. Paskorz will be solid for years to come at Michigan. Everyone is looking for the next Woodson, Steele, or Irons. Those players will come on their own time. Michigan also needs solid players through out the program. I hate cliches, but "You are only as good as your weakest link". Paskorz will be a strong player. Besides you never know, Paskorz could become the next great one at Michigan. |
| 2 years 51 weeks ago | Michigan, Recruiting, and Rodriguez |
I have a nephew that I took to the UM Football Camp recently. I'll blog about him later. He is a WR of the class of '12. While I was there, I saw a very organized and well attended four day event. I met almost every coach, I even met Rich Rodriguez and took pictures with him. At the end of camp, players and parents were lining up to thank him and take pictures with him. I have no doubt that The Michigan Football Program and recruiting is in great hands. I am no expert, but I know talent when I see it. RR and his staff spotted talent on sight just as I did. They patiently watched players to confirm their assumptions. RR knows what he doing. As soon as Michigan wins consistently recruiting will become much more. Players are waiting to see what will happen this year. 2010 is a crucial year. Oh yeah I forgot about the facilities, they are phenomenal. I walked around and was amazed by them. ' Glick' is huge and amazing edifice. Please know I am an Ann Arbor born Michigan alum living in Wisconsin, I was still shocked. Imagine how a parent and their child unfamilar to Michigan would feel. Those of you who see the Wolverines on TV or only attend games and then leave town, you don't know Michigan the way you think. You may even live in town. Proximity is not knowing! What I saw excited me. I just want to share and inspire those who are fearful or unsure. Michigan fans must be patient. The pain will be over soon. In Ann Arbor I saw positivity and optimism. I spoke with a current Michigan player's dad, he told me of a conversation he had with another coach that was not a Michigan coach. He stated that this coach, who hates UM believes RR will make Michigan elite and that the Big 10(12 or 16) will not be able to catch up with him or The Wolverines. I know this is just heresay, but so is blogging. Unless you are there to see things up close all this negative energy is an ant hair. If there is a time to believe, now is the time! I am a very excited for Michigan and its future. I even bought a mess of 'M' gear to get ready for the winning. |
| 3 years 3 days ago | The Rebuilding of the Wolverines... |
takes time. Michigan Fans are not used this kind of thing. Michigan is shifting from a pro-style offense to the Spread Offense. Is a something that takes time. I think RR is readjusting (adjusting) too. Coaching in the Big 10 is no joke. It is not the Big East. I think he is finding that out now. The Michigan Nation needs to be patient. I don't want to be like ND, searching for "the guy". Then firing him to find "the guy" again. Continuity at Michigan is a necessity. Bo is resting in peace. Lloyd Carr is retired. Rich Roderiguez is Michigan's coach. Stop complaining. You can't do anything about it anyway. UM is in year three in this transition, if this team goes 5-7 or 6-6 or worse, I'll lead the "dump the coach" chant. Michigan will win again consistently. RR will be Michigan's coach for some time. The rebuilding of the Wolverines is almost done. |

I traveled here from the past. This is amazing! Let's go to the future to see how this all works out. |

| 3 years 6 days ago | Academics, Georgia Tech, and The Big Ten |
One must not think sports or just football here. The Big Ten is a prestigious conference, with high ideals and academics. Georgia Tech just got accepted into the Association of American Universities this year (2010). This may not mean anything to the average sports guy, but in acadamia there is no organization more desireable to be linked. The Big Ten wants schools that are academically excellent. GT just entered that status this year. I am not surprised. GT opens an avenue to Atlanta and its revenue. Plus there are recruiting paths that would open too. GT could come in to the Big Ten. It is not impossible. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | Red on Red? |
Nebraska can go with black tops with red or white numbers. Besides Wisconsin does not pass so much. When they do they throw interceptions. I live in the state of Wisconsin, but I'm a Michigan fan/alumni. I'll root for Nebraska in those games. Wisconsin fans think they invented football because of the Packers, and the Lombardi Trophy. They are somewhat obnoxious and backward too. They are only aware of their teams. I have never seen such homers. They are knuckle dragging Neanderthals! You have to live here to know how they are. I've been in Wisconsin since 1993. Every year I hope Michigan kicks Bucky's teeth out. If UM happens to lose in football or any other sport Badger fans are relentless poor sports with no class. They are such homer they even think that if you live in Wisconsin you should somehow "convert" to one of their "quadrennial" Michigan beating fan clubs. Nebraska will lose to Michigan, and kick the stuffing out of Bucky Badger. The only thing they have in common with The Green Bay Packer is they both are located in the cheese state. I guess I really hate the Badgers, uh? I'm glad I got that out of my system. I need the season to start. First and foremost, I need an appetizer of NCAA 2011. July 14th can not get here soon enough. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | It is a good thing to get Nebraska into the Big 10 |
This is nothing but good for the Big Ten. Nebraska is a quality university. It is a part of the Association of American Universities, and it has good atheletics. Once the other five schools are confirmed the conference alignment will take shape. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | Better days are coming! |
There will be many "better" days. I'm patient and I believe in my team. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | Michigan, please give the kid a chance! |
I have a feeling that not letting Demar Dorsey in is major mistake on Michigan's part. I think this kid is going to mature in to a productive young man, and a good football player. Unfortunately, Dorsey does not fit the Michigan image. It is unsaid but, it appears Michigan is judging Demar right now. I do not recall a time a student/athlete with gold teeth, locks and a southern drawl went to Michigan. Even Charles Woodson showed up on campus with his hair braided. I think they are afraid of DD's troubled past too. They fear a future event may embarrass UM if Dorsey connects with the wrong element in Ann Arbor. Right now I feel The University of Michigan are not "the leaders" and the are not" the best" right now. Give this kid a chance! He has overcome so many obstacles, only to let Michigan debar him. This is ridiculous! Demar said in the video committing to Michigan was dream come true. It was the biggest decision in his life. Obviously it was bigger than the trouble he chose to get when he was a high school freshman. I know Michigan would change Demar Dorsey's life. He would become the man he should be. I know this first hand, Michigan changed me. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | Academic Prowess and Michigan |
There is one thing I know is no Michigan grad is going to disrespect their university despite the last two years on the football field. Harvard, Yale, and Stanford are great universities. These schools are some of the founding members of the Association of American Universities (AAU). An organization that consists of 63 schools that was founded in 1900. Michigan (1900) is also one of the founding members of this esteemed group of universities. The only two SEC schools apart of this association are Vanderbilt (1950) and Florida (1985). NYU's admission to the AAU was in 1950, since you are in New York area. Do not take my word for it go to www.aau.edu. Look up "member universities" under the "about" tab. If that is not enough go to Wikipedia and look up "Public Ivies". It is a name for schools that are public institutions, but have Ivy League standards. A study was done to measure academic excellence nationwide. It determined what schools would have this honor. You will be surprised who is on the list. Read, the truth will set you free. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | Michigan, Academics, and Sports |
I am not the wisest or the smartest guy around. Hear me when I tell you that Michigan is an academic institution first and foremost. Football is gravy. It is good gravy, but it is not the prime reason for the school's existence. Demar Dorsey may be a casualty of media pressure, accreditation, politics, and an institution fighting to protect its reputation. Michigan has denied many partial qualifiers in the past. What grieves the average fan is this player is an answer to a very pressing problem, the secondary. In a year where Michigan is trying to impress the NCAA, they are not about to jeopardize what is left their standing. I hope DD makes it in, Michigan needs all the help they can get. |

My bad there is no such thing. |

You are worshipping at the wrong altar. Find a Michigan Safety-'Loving' god he gives Michigan awesome safeties. Offer him virgin buckeyes instead cheezy mac. |
