A diary showed up a few days ago that had an odd title, so I clicked on it. It had odd content.

In the spring's wild embrace, balsamic delight, Aged essence concocted, both day and night. Koala mind awakens, half-sane, half-free, Vinegar's symphony, a taste that's key.

Twisted thoughts meander, leaves rustle and play, Aged balsamic whispers in a curious way. Koala-half muses, a dance in the breeze, Flavors intertwining, a tantalizing tease.

Raving 'neath moonlight, a tangy desire, Half-man, half-koala, a culinary choir. Spring's fervent fervor, a madness untamed, Aged balsamic elixir, where wild dreams are named.

The replies dug up a longer balsamic vinegar themed post from the same user posted in 2014. What a place this is. We just ate the mother of all linkrot when gfycat was unceremoniously terminated by Snap—Seth is rescuing what he can—but all of this is external. We've managed to carry forth everything posted on the front page since this site's inception in 2004 to the current day. On this here Michigan football site you can go back nine years to see if MeanJoe07 has a history of posting bizarre yet lyrical poetry about balsamic vinegar on the eve of the Michigan football season. It is a history of being a fan, with many, many downs and also some ups. Every single one of us has stared grimly at the wall wondering if it would ever happen. Well. Here it is. It might not happen, by by God they're gonna try.

Let's go name some wild dreams, on three.

Championships are so sweet because they are so hard to achieve.  Dreams of raising THE trophy at the last game of the season is why players play and fans cheer.  Most seasons for most teams, it is a pipe dream, but every now and then it is what it is...

I'm going to enjoy this season and the dreams of 100+ young men that are dedicated to being the last team standing and hoisting up that trophy...

Go BLUE...

Keep you feet on the ground and shoot for the moon....for even if you miss you will be among the stars...

Just an old man gripe, but ... man, I miss the classic old Michigan Stadium, before the newer press box and luxury seats destroyed its simple lines.

Still amazing, obviously, and God knows the rich should be able to avoid the rain and cold that falls upon the working class, but ... photos of the modern stadium don't carry the same classic kick that the old ones did.

I am the only Michigan fan in my friend circle.

Imagine trying to explain to someone who has never read Mgoblog, or heard of Mgoblog, why I mutter "Tacopants" under my breath when a ball is overthrown.

Our corner of college football fandom is weird.

Enjoy it! It never gets better. I was in the stadium by a guy throwing a fit in the 3rd bc we didn't score up 30 to 0.

I've been fortunate enough to be to 2 rose bowls. And I have never been more optimistic about Michigan football.

Enjoy this. These are the days that you will tell your kids and grandkids about.

That is truly awesome and much appreciated.  MGoBlog has a sense of its own history which is rare for the here-and-now obsessed internet.
