1. The End of the Wisconsin Game

starts at 1:00

We apologize for a bit of technical difficulties with Brian's mic this episode. Brian and Seth discuss the end of the Wisconsin game. Brad Davison remains the dirtiest player in college basketball and Greg Gard defends him. Suspensions have been issued, time to move on with the season.

2. Wisconsin (During the Game)

starts at 12:12

Just a bad shooting game all around. This is either a 66% three-point shooting team or a 16% three-point shooting team and it doesn't seem to matter what the opposition is doing. When they get hot shooting from the 4 they annihilate Purdue. When they don't, this game happens. Turns out wings are important in basketball. What happened to Brandon Johns?

3. Hot Takes and Iowa

starts at 27:32

It's already pretty hot out there but the gang comes up with some hot[ter] takes. Michigan has another horrible three-point shooting game against Iowa but it doesn't matter because Moussa Diabete goes 12-15 in FGs from the floor for 28 points. Shut down Keegan Murray and Iowa doesn't seem to know what to do. Kobe Bufkin getting 10 points off the bench was encouraging, Michigan needs a better performance from the bench overall this season.

4. Hockey vs Ohio State

starts at 44:01

Michigan needs four points this upcoming weekend to clinch the Big Ten regular season championship. Was Luke Hughes's goal the best we've ever seen? (Not for Brian because he's old and has seen more goals). Ohio State's thing is that they have a very good goalie but Michigan has a good goalie to match and better skaters. Michigan's defense in the 3rd period of the Saturday game was clinical. Losing those players to the Olympics might be one of the best things to happen to this team.

While it was not ok that Juwan escalated and it should never happen again, I really appreciate Brian telling it like it is re: Brad Davison. When you harbor that player behavior in your program (for years!) it speaks more to your program/team culture than Juwan’s unfortunate actions speak to ours.

Howard deserves the punishment he received but Gard and Wisconsin acting like innocent victims throughout this whole process while making excuses for Brad Davison's 14-year career is as much a "culture" problem as whatever bullshit writers have been trying to say about UM and Howard these past couple of days.

the opener to segment  4 - “now onto the sport where pushing and shoving is encouraged,” or some such - got me excited that you were going to talk about women’s hoops, probably regarding the ridiculous officiating the ladies got at breslin.

oh, well.  maybe you’ll talk about them when they win the conference, or make the final four.  probably.  possibly.

edit to add - feel free to ignore, just being a smartass. y’all are awesome.

Agree 100p on Brian's take and that of my fellow board members. Davison is the true villain and zero idea why he gets a pass.

More important to me: Brian is back! Annoyed at the media for ignoring this component. Angry at Wisco and their idiotic (possibly somewhat racially motivated)  fanbase, and having none of the hand wringing on this. That's what I come here for! Well, that and the free content about my favorite passion.

Welcome back Brian and see you for the B1G tourney and dance Juwan!

Go Blue.

I get why the statement was written, but the B1G's commissioner's statement is totally BS.  “Big Ten Conference coaches and student-athletes are expected to display the highest level of sportsmanship conduct,” stated Commissioner Kevin Warren.  Really?  By whom?  People who've never watched anything higher than pee-wee soccer?  Have you ever heard what is said during a game?  A more accurate statement would be, "We expect our coaches not to slap a fool because it could quickly get out of hand and I'll get an earache fielding calls."  That's fair.
