The snake oil is flowing, the recruits will start coming in, and our flaky fanbase will praise RichRod's excellent signing day haul.
And Pearlie Graves. Jesus. Just awesome. This team is on its way to unparalleled greatness with names like that.

Pearlie standing over a sacked Pryor, with the back of his jersey saying it all: Graves.

That gave me chills.

Unfortunately it's the week of OSU and we're looking forward to recruiting...but it is what it is. I'm on board and sticking with RR...he'll get it done. Here's to a top 10 recruiting class.
Also, I just listened to Desmond on thevictors - that's all I needed for the rest of the week to get me fired up.

That's usually because Scout hasn't really evaluated him yet. That might be a bad sign in itself, but he won't be a 1 star when it's all said and done.

It sounds like most backed off him because of grades, he got that in order and picked Michigan over Oklahoma and Okie State (not sure of the offer situation though)

I believe that is the coolest fucking name I've ever heard. I don't even care if he's good. His name is Pearlie fucking Graves.

He looks like he's 32 years old. Like Will Johnson.

...for really big guys. As I've mentioned before, I covered recruiting professionally. There is a whole group of players that seems to physically mature way earlier than normal.
If any of you remember a kid named Schea Cotton from the mid-90s, he hit his physical peak around the time he was 13 or 14 years old. People were talking about him being the next Michael Jordan.
By the time he was 18, a lot of people had caught up with him and he went from being Jordan, Part Deux to just being a good college-level player.
Mario Williams of the Houston Texans looked like he was about 35 when he was a junior in high school. He committed very early to NC State and would come to the games and hang out on the sidelines or near the old fieldhouse before games. I'd point him out to people and they usually thought he was a coach or maybe a player's father.
Greg Oden was another one...the guy looks like he's 40 years old.
It's nice to get guys that have high ceilings that surprise you (David Robinson, for example). But it's also nice to have ready-made, Big-10-ready DTs that are already comfortable with their height, weight, strength and speed.

Another run-stuffing wrecking ball on the DL!!! Even in our darkest hour -- there is hope for the future!

Kick ass.
That is one hell of a defensive line recruiting class.
Especially if Campbell signs.
Does anyone know when we'll have verification of who the early enrolees are? IE when the paperwork finishes putting them on campus?
Campbell said he is graduating in December. Will he enroll early?
November 20th, 2008 at 8:44 AM ^
I believe Campbell plans to enroll early. It seems like I recall hearing that anyway. Supposedly Beaver and Forcier are going to enroll early as well. It seems like I may have heard a few other names too, but those are the ones that I recall as of now.

Get ready for a Pearlie necklace, Big Ten.

Great news on Graves. I live out here in Gopher/Badger land. The St. Paul Pioneer press says Taylor Lewan is taking a visit to the Gopher/Hawkeye game this weekend.

Rivals lists him as a soft verbal.
Hopefully he will stick with this commitment.
