State of Ohio 2012 "Early" Player Rankings
Ohio is a very deep state for HS football talent and 2012 will be even deeper.
Here is Rivals first 2012 list for the players in the State of Ohio.
OSU already has 5 verbals out of the top 40.
Wormley is #3. Gant #14.

i wonder if he's a pudgy, pasty, whiny, underachieving, traiterous scumbag?
February 7th, 2011 at 1:04 PM ^
All 3 of his spawn have become Buckeye's. Would love to hear what Bo would say if he were alive.

The Borens are the ultimate traitors.

I guess that's one way to have enough employees for the family plowing business.
February 7th, 2011 at 2:15 PM ^
I shudder to think of how bad the cabs of their plow trucks must smell.

We need Bam Bradley. Awesome name.
February 7th, 2011 at 11:36 AM ^
Out of Trotwood too.

I saw this guy as a freshman starting varsity, you could tell he would be special someday. I told my buddy he will play on Saturdays and Sundays. As a spohmore he gave my school's reciever (who plays for Ohio Bobcats) a concussion. Dude brings "da wood."

So many defensive ends..
February 7th, 2011 at 11:24 AM ^
How great would that be if Wormley was an early commit kind of like Greg Brown? I would be super excited.
February 7th, 2011 at 11:44 AM ^
It probably helps that a couple of these guys play for Ricky Powers at Akron Buchtel...

Ohio State has 5 verbals out of the TOP 15!! Thats crazy, but what do you expect if you win and are the only good college in your state you should be able to do that.
February 7th, 2011 at 11:52 AM ^
If there was no MSU, UM could have easily landed Gholston last year, Thomas this year, etc....
February 7th, 2011 at 6:08 PM ^
competition in-state. Cincy may be close but everybody wants to play for OSU.
February 7th, 2011 at 12:02 PM ^
looks like the top 16 in Ohio were rivals 4 stars last year (and at least that many this year)... so yea, a pretty good start.
February 7th, 2011 at 12:25 PM ^
is deep this year too - I would expect a very strong Mid-west class this year.
Also I hope we pull in a top 10 class.
February 7th, 2011 at 1:10 PM ^
Not many OL or true DTs in that top 20. We need at least 2 elite tackles and the same for guards. Likely 3 DTs as well

Relax guy, lucky for us Michigan recruits more than just the state of Ohio.
February 7th, 2011 at 1:42 PM ^
To expand a bit: in a very good year for talent in OH, where OSU is reportedly limited in schollies, and we have a new Midwest MANBALL coach and former NFL DC, I would prefer the front half of the list be populated with our most pressing needs (OL, DT).
So perhaps 'arghh' overstates it, but I thought the above was assumed. Very excited to see what this staff does in MI, PA, IL, CA, and TX, among the other non-Ohio states.

Relax guy is a South Park reference, nothing meant by it. Next years class should be a great one. Hopefully filled with the finest offensive and defensive lineman in all the land because we sure do need them.

Suck my balls?
Maybe that's not quite right...

Easy buddy

Dan O'Brien and Matt Godin are two in-state DTs that Michigan has a great shot at. Jordan Diamond is a highly rated OT from Chicago who is said to be a Michigan lean. There are a host of other possibilities, but those are three highly rated guys who we have as good of a shot at as any school. I don't think it'll be a problem.
February 7th, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
Where is the UM lean for Diamond coming from?
February 7th, 2011 at 7:21 PM ^
If the poster meant to say that he is interested in Michigan because of Bryant and the coaches have visited his school, then yes, he is a Michigan lean.
February 7th, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
"T Jordan Diamond is a monster recruit. The old staff offered him, and he's got additional offers from the Badgers, Irish (*I can see why you've popped your head in here*), and Arizona Wildcats, among others. He'll probably be a 4* around Taylor Lewan's hype level. When he came into the combine in the practice field (same one as the Bryant video, you can actually see him after Chris in one if the drills), he said something along the lines of 'it was his destiny' to play at Michigan. Since then, we've fallen off a little for him with the CC, but I think we should be in a pretty good place."
February 7th, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
thanks
Diamond is already a bigger recruit than Lewan was
February 7th, 2011 at 6:48 PM ^
6'4" 320.....beefy.
February 7th, 2011 at 6:58 PM ^
Why are McMullen, Bradley, so high? Offer lists don't match rankings at all
February 7th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
You can say the same for the #1 rated guy. I think it might be safe to assume that not everyone has been evaluated fully yet.
February 8th, 2011 at 12:49 AM ^
He committed to OSU before anyone really had a chance. Scout's Bill Greene and Allen Trieu are plenty high on him as well.
