Michigan 36-SC Upstate 18 Halftime
If anyone cares.
Tim Jr. is gonna be a nice player for this team.
3 ball is falling tonight.
Darius has a dozen or so points.
They are playing something called SC Upstate, but a solid way to start the season regardless.

I have a feeling Darius will make the leap this year.

Great start for Hardaway, unfortunately, Smotryz is off to a slow start. Game will be shown tomorrow night at 8 on BTN

Looking pretty good so far and Tim Jr is ballin, but this team is gonna need someone who can score down low.
November 13th, 2010 at 8:18 PM ^
Blake has a few swats too. There is no low post scoring out of anyone though, which is a little alarming considering the competition.

Looks like UM is up 42-24 with 12:19 to go in the game. Hardaway has 18 pts. Nice. Fyi, game will be replayed tomorrow night at 8pm ET on BTN.

What kind of team is USC-Upstate? Are they Division I?
November 13th, 2010 at 8:38 PM ^
Not good.
November 13th, 2010 at 8:40 PM ^
They just moved to Div. 1 for the 2007-08 season. They're in the Atlantic Sun conference.
November 13th, 2010 at 8:42 PM ^
Besides not being good they are a D1 school in basketball and out of the atlantic sun conference

Well looks like as most expected that Horford will def not be redshirted. I thought/hoped that he would have been redshirted this season so he could catch up in the size department and fill out a bit, but hopefully he makes the most of his minuets this season and hopefully he sees good minuets so he gains experience.
November 13th, 2010 at 9:08 PM ^
I believe in basketball you can play the first ten games and still redshirt. Cronin did it last year or two years ago.
November 13th, 2010 at 9:23 PM ^
Cronin took a medical redshirt. For what the NCAA calls a "voluntary" redshirt, you cannot play in any regular season games.

I like the way Colton Christian plays too. Pretty athletic, high energy guy. Horford may be thinner than Tayshaun Prince.
November 13th, 2010 at 8:44 PM ^
yea he needs to live in the Caf. and the weight room

Horford's dad and brother took awhile to become dominant college players; both seemed to fully "grow into their bodies" as juniors. Horford may end up being the best asset from this class.

To make a game appearance. At least I think it was him. As bad as Crisler's screen is, it could have been anybody.
November 13th, 2010 at 8:50 PM ^
Someone said he was just heading to the hockey game now
November 13th, 2010 at 9:58 PM ^
He ran past me on the concourse with some teammates.
November 13th, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
He wasn't running if you were able to see him.

A dunk by Zack leads a flurry of points.

Way to hit the reply button before he could edit. Definite +1...

Yahoo box score doesn't show Colton Christian. Is he going to be redshirted?
November 13th, 2010 at 9:26 PM ^
He was in there quite a bit. Played 13 minutes according to the CBSSports.com game tracker. No points, but grabbed 4 rebounds and had a steal.
November 13th, 2010 at 9:43 PM ^
OK. Yahoo doesn't list rebounds in these games, so without any points, fouls or shot attempts, he won't show up.
November 13th, 2010 at 9:26 PM ^
He played....didn't look like he'll contribute much this year though.
November 13th, 2010 at 9:47 PM ^
His offensive game needs work, but I think he'll be able to make a contribution this year on the boards and with his defense. Right now at least, he's the primary backup to Smotrycz at the four.
